My Comatose Wife Woke Up Pregnant Chapter 04

My Comatose Wife Woke Up Pregnant Chapter 04 The Gift They Never Expected
I had no idea how long it took for the whipping to stop.
Through the haze, I heard one of the masked men make a call.
“Mr. Cole, the job is done. When do we get our two hundred thousand dollars?”
Mr. Cole.
Was it Mason?
And did Vivian know?
Before I could follow the thought, the men came back.
One pinned me down while the other poured something into my mouth.
Darkness swallowed me again.
By the time I woke, it was the following afternoon.
They had dumped me outside my own villa, drenched in blood.
Vivian and Mason hurried out when they heard the commotion.
Her pupils contracted at the sight of me.
“Julian, what happened to you?”
Mason pulled her against him.
“Don’t get close, Vivian. He’s filthy. You’ll ruin your wedding dress.”
Only then did I notice what she was wearing.
Mason held out my phone.
“We found this in the landscaping outside the hospital. Where did you go last night? That video of you is everywhere. Vivian is deeply disappointed in you.”
It took only seconds to find the footage online.
I wanted to demand why Mason had ordered this. In the end, I managed only five words.
“Someone set me up.”
Vivian gave a contemptuous snort.
“Set you up? More like someone exposed the real you, and now you’re too much of a coward to admit it.
“I was suffering in the hospital while you were out indulging every disgusting fantasy you had. I never knew you were that kind of man.”
Mason watched me with open mockery.
“Maybe this is for the best.
“Once people see what you do in private, no one will criticize Vivian for marrying me. They’ll applaud her for finally leaving you.”
So that was why Mason had arranged my humiliation and torture.
He was even crueler than I had imagined.
I ignored him and fixed my eyes on Vivian.
“If that video was consensual, why was I dumped here covered in blood?”
She frowned in thought, then immediately reached her verdict.
“The women’s families must have caught you and beaten you for what you did!”
After that, I saw no point in defending myself.
She had never trusted me. Not once.
And the less she trusted me now, the more I wanted to see her face when the truth came out.
Vivian and Mason were in a hurry to take wedding photos. They left me on the ground and drove away.
I called a private medical service to treat my injuries at home.
Soon after the medics left, Vivian posted a wedding portrait of herself and Mason.
This time, neither face was blurred. They looked perfect together.
A lengthy caption accompanied the picture.
[Yes, the man I married is Mason Cole.]
[I am grateful that Julian cared for me for three years. But the video circulating online proves he spent that entire time betraying me. I’m sorry, but I cannot accept a man like him.]
[Fortunately, Mason gave me warmth and love when I felt most broken and helpless.]
I couldn’t understand how Vivian had the nerve to publish such a lie.
She and Mason were the ones who had been sleeping together.
Then a private message from her appeared.
“You saw my post, right? I only wrote it to make the wedding easier for people to accept. I don’t want anyone gossiping about Mason and me, so please don’t read too much into it.
“What you did last night was disgusting, but I’ve decided to forgive you. You’re still my husband.”
My stomach heaved.
At that moment, one of the investigators finally called with good news.
“Mr. Prescott, we got what you asked for. I’m sending it now.”
My heart pounded as the video arrived.
Vivian. Mason. This would be my wedding gift to them.
The following morning,
I went to their ceremony at the Crownspire Hotel.
Vivian regarded me warily.
“If you cause trouble today, Julian, I’ll marry Mason for real. I’ll leave you forever!”
I smiled.
“Please do. Nothing would make me happier than seeing you stuck with each other.”
Her face paled.
Just then, a message appeared on my phone.
Mr. Prescott, the aircraft will arrive in Riverton in one hour. Where would you like to board?
I sent the plaza outside the Crownspire Hotel as the location.
Guests began filing into the ballroom.
My video had gone viral. Nearly everyone who passed whispered or pointed at me.
Natalie Brooks, Vivian’s closest friend, rushed over and slapped me. Her manicure raked my cheek open.
“Vivian loved you, and this is what you did behind her back?”
“How dare you show your face at her wedding? Get out!”
Mason’s friends surrounded me, forced liquor down my throat, and slipped in punches and kicks whenever no one was looking.
“Your ex belongs to Mason now. Stay away from her.”
Three minutes remained before the ceremony.
Vivian sent me another message.
My promise still stands. Stop making trouble, and you can be the man in my bed tonight.
I didn’t reply. I blocked her instead.
Soon Vivian and Mason walked onto the stage in their wedding clothes.
During the vows, her eyes filled with tears. She looked toward me, then spoke with absolute clarity.
“I take Mason Cole as my husband.”
Mason looked at me too, unable to hide his smug smile.
A low mechanical thunder rolled in from outside, growing louder by the second.
“What is that? Is that a private jet? Who the hell flies one that low?”
The guests murmured in confusion, but the ceremony continued.
Vivian and Mason began exchanging rings.
I rose and pressed the remote aimed at the screen behind the stage. In thirty seconds, a video would begin.
Then I turned toward the doors.
Under hundreds of bewildered stares, I boarded one of the most advanced private jets in the world and rose into the sky.
Vivian, from that moment on, we belonged to different worlds.
