My Boss Flies Me First Class And His Fiancée Flies Into A Rage Chapter 05

The moment I saw Ethan, all the humiliation and frustration I had been suppressing came pouring out.

“Mr. Vance! I came straight to the office to file my reports, but Ms. Sterling intercepted me and demanded that I refund all the company’s money!”

Ethan’s face drained of color, turning an ghostly shade of white.

“How… how much did you transfer back?” he stammered.

“Eight hundred thousand dollars so far,” I whimpered, letting a tear slip down my cheek.

Around us, the office phones were still ringing off the hook, the sharp blares sounding like a chorus of debt collectors.

Ethan stumbled back a step, looking visibly faint, before forcing himself to snap out of it. He turned to his fiancée and barked an order.

“Quick! Wire every single dollar back to Chloe’s account right now!”

“And process her new expense reports immediately! Do it now!”

Victoria froze, staring at him in utter disbelief.

“Ethan! I’m your fiancée! Everything I did was to protect you and safeguard this company!”

Ethan ran a frustrated hand through his hair, his voice dripping with irritation.

“Victoria, I explicitly told you a few days ago that the absolute first priority when Chloe returned was to approve her expenses.”

“Why did you treat my instructions like white noise?”

Victoria covered her face, her eyes flashing red as tears began to stream down her cheeks.

“Ethan, I am your future wife and an executive of this firm.”

“You’re actually humiliating me in front of the entire staff for the sake of this office side chick?”

“How am I the one in the wrong here?”

I seized the perfect opportunity to drive the wedge deeper.

“Ms. Sterling, I told you repeatedly that my expenses were pre-approved by the CEO.”

“You’re the one who targeted me from the exact moment I walked through the door!”

Victoria whipped her head around, glaring at me with pure hatred.

“Shut up! Nobody asked for your input!”

I began to sob softly, milking it for all it was worth as I laid out my grievances.

“Mr. Vance, you were the one who begged me to use the corporate accounts in the first place!”

“You contractually promised me a seven-figure compensation package and equity bonuses.”

“Our relationship has always been strictly professional and mutually beneficial, but your fiancée and her mother called me a parasitic whore. I’ve never been so insulted!”

I sniffled loudly, ensuring everyone in the room could hear me.

“They rallied the entire office to attack me. They physically assaulted me, my face is completely swollen, and look at my clothes—they threw their coffees all over me!”

“I can’t work under these hostile conditions!”

As I continued to air my grievances, the phones in the sales pit rang even louder, and Ethan’s personal cell phone began to vibrate violently in his hand.

He answered it with a trembling grip. It was the CEO of an international logistics conglomerate—the exact distribution channel Ethan had been desperately trying to secure.

“Mr. Vance, after reviewing your firm’s current operational infrastructure, we feel your organization lacks the necessary scale. The partnership is officially off.”

The client’s tone was completely final.

Ethan panicked, trying desperately to salvage the deal. “Mr. Harrison, please, the compliance issues are already being addressed, and our legal team is finalizing the permits as we speak.”

“Just give me forty-eight hours, and I’ll have everything sorted out.”

“That won’t be necessary,” the voice replied coldly. “We’ve already signed with a more competent vendor.”

The call went dead. Before Ethan could even lower his hand, another call flashed across his screen—this time from the federal regulatory agency handling their compliance audit.

“Mr. Vance, your corporate application has been denied due to a failure to meet the minimum required quarterly revenue thresholds.”

The line clicked shut.

The entire office fell into a dead, terrified silence.

Every single employee finally connected the dots: the exact moment I started returning funds to the company was the exact moment our entire client pipeline began to disintegrate.

Victoria looked at me, a flicker of panic finally cracking her icy facade.

Behind her, Eleanor stamped her foot in frustration. “This is completely insane! What kind of witchcraft is happening here?”

Ethan turned on them, unleashing a furious roar.

“What are you two idiots standing there for? Return Chloe’s money and process her invoices right now!”
