My Boss Flies Me First Class And His Fiancée Flies Into A Rage Chapter 06

Victoria’s eyes turned entirely bloodshot with rage. She pointed a trembling finger directly at my face.

“Ethan Vance! She is your mistress, isn’t she?”

“Does our eight-year relationship really mean less to you than a single year with this woman?”

Ethan looked completely exhausted, the weight of the company’s imminent collapse pressing down on his shoulders.

“Victoria, stop letting your jealousy blind you!”

“Chloe and I are strictly business partners. There is absolutely nothing romantic between us.”

I rolled my eyes dramatically, chipping in from my chair.

“Exactly. I would never be interested in a man who can’t even protect his own primary source of revenue.”

Ethan let out a long, desperate sigh and turned to me, his tone completely pleading.

“Chloe, please, don’t be angry with me.”

“I’m having Tracey reverse the wire transfers and clear your expense reports this exact second. Just please, keep your temper in check.”

“Otherwise, my company will—”

He cut himself off abruptly, terrified of uttering the word ‘bankruptcy’ aloud in front of his staff.

“Tracey, move your ass!” Ethan barked.

“Get Chloe her money back right now! And clear those invoices!”

Tracey was the only person in the entire building who hadn’t joined in on the harassment.

I offered him a polite, reassuring smile. “Thank you, Tracey. I appreciate your efficiency.”

He nodded quickly, his fingers flying across his keyboard as he executed the orders.

But Eleanor wasn’t about to let it go. She dropped directly onto the carpet, throwing a full-blown tantrum right in the middle of the bullpen.

“My poor, innocent daughter!” she wailed, her voice echoing off the walls.

“She stuck by this man through thick and thin, only for some cheap secretary to slide in and steal everything the moment he became successful!”

A few junior sales reps, sensing viral potential, quietly pulled out their phones and started recording the scene.

Ethan’s expression turned incredibly dangerous. He marched over and violently smacked the phones right out of their hands, sending the devices shattering across the floor.

“What the hell do you think you’re filming? Do it again, and you’re fired on the spot!”

“If you have enough free time to record family drama, you have enough time to fix your failing client accounts! Get back to work!”

The employees flinched, quickly retrieving their broken phones and scuttling back to their desks.

Nobody had ever seen the CEO fly into such a blind rage before. Within seconds, the entire floor was dead quiet, everyone pretending to be deeply absorbed in their work.

Eleanor’s dramatic wailing cut off instantly, the remaining shrieks getting caught right in her throat.

While the tension lingered, Tracey quietly completed the transactions, successfully returning the $800,000 and clearing the $500,000 expense report.

But a simple financial reversal wasn’t going to fix this.

Victoria had mobilized the entire department to humiliate me, and I wasn’t about to let her off the hook that easily.

I forced my eyes to well up with tears, looking up at Ethan with a fragile, broken expression.

“Mr. Vance, I see the funds have cleared, but my resignation stands.”

“I can’t continue working in an environment where I’m constantly targeted.”

“Your fiancée is far too terrifying. I’m afraid that if I show up tomorrow, I’ll end up getting assaulted again.”

“Absolutely not! You are not quitting!” Ethan and Victoria yelled at the exact same time.

Victoria glared at me, her chin held high. “I’m calling the authorities. This is a clear case of corporate embezzlement, and I will see you behind bars!”

Before she could finish her threat, the sales director’s phone rang again.

He answered it with a trembling hand, but his expression instantly shifted to pure relief. “What? Oh, thank god. So the equipment malfunction was just an installation error on your technician’s part? It’s already running smoothly? Perfect!”

Across the room, another manager let out a ecstatic shout.

“Great news! The storm cleared up early, the port restrictions have been lifted, and our container ships are cleared for docking!”

The entire crisis had vanished as quickly as it had arrived.

Ethan stared at me, his eyes filled with a complex mixture of awe and terror. He immediately grabbed a glossy luxury cruise brochure from his desk and shoved it into my hands.

“You are not leaving this company, Chloe. I will personally book you the absolute highest-tier European cruise suite. Take your entire family and enjoy a month at sea on my dime!”
