My Boss Flies Me First Class And His Fiancée Flies Into A Rage Chapter 04

Eleanor lunged forward, grabbing a fistful of my hair and forcing my face down toward the stained carpet.

“You trashy little homewrecker! How dare you curse my family!”

“The only one who’s going to be begging for scraps is you.”

“My daughter is a corporate executive and a future millionaire’s wife. You wouldn’t match her status in ten lifetimes!”

Victoria casually adjusted her designer blazer and looked down at me with cold detachment.

“Get up and go to your desk,” she commanded.

“I want to watch you authorize every single wire transfer with my own eyes.”

“Don’t you dare leave out a single penny.”

At her signal, two corporate security guards hoisted me up by my arms and forcibly marched me over to my cubicle, pushing me into the chair.

Victoria dumped the entire box of invoices straight over my head, showering me in paper.

“You don’t have the right to play the victim here, Chloe,” she whispered maliciously.

“Consider yourself lucky that I have a mild temper. Anyone else would have had you stripped and thrown onto the pavement by now.”

Turning her attention back to Tracey, she snapped her fingers.

“Bring me her payroll records too.”

“She hasn’t generated a single client contract all year. On top of the reimbursements, she’s going to pay back every single paycheck she took from us.”

My hands shook with pure rage as I booted up my laptop.

“Victoria! My salary and bonuses are legally contracted!” I yelled.

“What you’re doing is highly illegal. I’m taking this straight to the Department of Labor!”

Tracey reluctantly handed over the printouts detailing my compensation history.

Victoria took one look at the numbers, and her jaw dropped before she flew into a complete frenzy.

“Fifty thousand dollars a month in base pay? And a guaranteed hundred thousand dollar monthly performance bonus?”

She spun around and delivered a stinging slap right across my face.

“You disgusting leech! How did you trick Ethan into giving you over a million dollars a year?”

“What could you possibly offer this company to deserve a seven-figure salary?”

Her piercing screech echoed across the entire corporate floor.

The surrounding staff completely lost their minds.

“A million dollars a year for doing absolutely nothing?”

“Then what the hell are we? Just corporate slaves working for pocket change?”

The sales director looked completely beside himself with rage.

“I brought in fifteen million dollars in closed contracts this year, and my base pay is barely six figures!”

“Who the hell do you think you are, Chloe?”

“Aren’t you ashamed to spend money you earned on your back?”

The entire office halted operations, crowding around my cubicle to point, glare, and hurl insults.

Victoria smiled, thoroughly satisfied with the public execution of my character.

“Alright, everyone, calm down,” she said, raising her hands. “I see exactly how unfairly you’ve all been treated.”

“As promised, once she transfers the money back into our corporate accounts, a massive chunk of it will be distributed directly to you as a performance bonus.”

“Thank you, Ms. Sterling!”

“You’re the best!”

The crowd finally began to disperse, returning to their stations with triumphant smirks.

Victoria leaned over my shoulder, tapping the computer monitor.

“What are you waiting for? Start transferring the funds!”

Staring at the banking portal, I felt a strange sense of clarity wash over me.

Victoria was using her power as the CEO’s fiancée to crush me. Fine.

I would give her exactly what she wanted. I would return the money, and we would see just how many transactions it would take to bring this entire operation down.

Let’s see how long her smug attitude lasted.

The first transfer of $300,000 went through successfully.

A second later, the sales director’s phone rang loudly.

“What do you mean?” he gasped into the receiver, his face instantly pale. “The manufacturing equipment we delivered to your facility malfunctioned? A multi-million dollar liability suit?”

I clicked the mouse again, authorizing the second transfer of $200,000.

Another phone across the room started buzzing frantically.

“What’s going on? The major shipping ports just initiated an emergency three-day shutdown due to an oncoming storm? What about our cargo?”

“A five-times penalty fee for delayed delivery? Wait, please don’t pull the contract!”

With every single financial transaction I processed, another critical corporate deal imploded.

Active negotiations were abruptly terminated, and finalized contracts suddenly faced massive logistical nightmares.

Victoria, however, didn’t seem fazed at all.

“Why is everyone panicking?” she reprimanded the room. “It’s a series of unfortunate coincidences. You’re sales executives—handling client crises is literally your job description!”

The phones in the sales department began ringing in a chaotic, non-stop cacophony, sounding like a ticking time bomb.

Eleanor frowned, a slight tremor of unease in her voice. “Victoria, honey… this is starting to feel a little bizarre.”

I looked up from my screen, offering Victoria a sweet, mocking smile.

“Ms. Sterling, should I keep going with the next transfer?”

Victoria glared back at me, her eyes flashing with stubborn anger.

“Keep transferring! Every single cent!”

Just as my finger hovered over the trackpad to authorize the next payment, the heavy glass doors of the office burst open.

Ethan rushed into the bullpen, completely out of breath and looking utterly disheveled.

“Chloe! My absolute savior! Tell me your expense reports have already been processed!”
