Nyx heard that Zander was going after my pack and thought he’d finally gotten smart, realized I was nothing. She figured he was trying to crush me completely.

Grimm Pack had lost more than half its resources and allies during this period. When Nyx thought about those numbers, she felt like the money was coming out of her own pocket.

But Nyx still clung to him. “Zander, you’re not alone. I’m here too. We’ll get through this together.”

She really thought that as long as she ground me into the dirt, she could take over as Luna.

He crushed a dried flower in his hand, grinding it to pieces.

Watching Zander bid against me for the same projects was honestly pretty funny.

He really thought this would back me into a corner.

There was no love left between us, just war.

“Aria, what are we gonna do?” My assistant Eden was about ready to cry.

Her eyes had dark circles like she’d been punched, hadn’t gotten a decent night’s sleep in ages.

“He’s not competing normally he’s lost his mind! If this keeps up, we can’t hold on!”

Zander was throwing everything the Grimm Pack had at destroying my startup trade alliance.
