Live Streamed Death: Reborn to Ruin My Family Chapter 03

Chapter 3: The Witness

“Dr. Chance.”

I called out, stopping the gentlefaced man midstride at the ER entrance.

“Doctor, I was assaulted. I need a forensic exam

I rolled up my sleeve, revealing purple fingershaped bruises on my arm.

Dr. Chance’s face turned serious. “Who did this? Come on.”

He ushered me into an exam room, doors closed, and checked every bruise carefully,

My arm wasn’t the only thing. There were older marks-years of them, all from my family.

“Your family did this, didn’t they?” His voice dropped.

I bit my lip. Silent. But tears slipped out anyway

“They even make me do Stone Smashing for their livestream.”

I looked up, eyes full of fear and helplessness. “Dr. Chance, will you help me?”

What I needed was someone in my corner. A witness. Someone I could trust.

He was the only one I had.

When he looked at me, I saw pity-and rage.

“Don’t be scared. Just tell me everything they’ve been making you

do.”

I gave him the whole story about the “Extreme WeightBearing” livestream, laying it on thick. Made myself into this poor, longabused girl who had to pull off deadly stunts on camera just to fill her family’s pockets. A total wreck.

I sobbed so hard I could barely get the words out. Dr. Chance’s hands balled into fists, tighter with every sentence.

“Miss, can you trust me? We’ll build the case together. And we’ll put them away for good..

That was exactly what I’d been waiting to hear.

When I left the hospital, I had a diagnosis: “minor hairline fracture, rest advised.” And some

cream for the bruises.

He also handed me a small voice recorder.

“Mia, protect yourself. From now on, record every time they pressure you, threaten you.”

I hid the recorder in my inner pocket, right against my skin, and headed back to that “home”.

The second I walked in, Mark barked, “Took you long enough. Let me see the paper.”

I handed over the fake diagnosis.

M…

The moment they saw “hairline fracture, rest recommended,” every face in the room turned ugly.

Skyler was the first to pop off. “A fracture? No way! I only stepped on you twice. How the hell is that a fracture? Are your bones made of glass?”

Stella panicked too. “What do we do now? Can you still do next week’s stream? We already announced it!”

Mark snatched the paper away, his face dark as thunder. “Mia, you did this on purpose, didn’t you?”

I shrank back, tears falling again. “The doctor said it might be an old injury from past training. This time, the pressure made it flare up. Dad, it really hurts.”

I pressed my hand to my chest, let my body tremble. Acting so real it scared me.

Mark paced the living room, fuming. “Hurts, hurts, hurts. That’s all you know. One week- can you heal in a week?”

I whispered, “The doctor said I should rest for a month.”

“A month?!” Skyler shrieked. “By then, everything’s dead! I already told my followers there’d be a huge show next week. What the hell am I supposed to do now?”

“Worthless trash!” He charged at me and shoved hard.

I let myself fall backward onto the floor, let out a pained groan.

Stella pulled him back, then came to help me up. “Mia, are you okay? Skyler didn’t mean it. He’s just wound up.”

Her mouth said sweet things. But her eyes? Those were blaming me.

Mark kicked the table so hard. The crash shook the whole room.

“A month? No. Three days. Max. In three days, you’d better be good as new..”

He pointed at my face and laid down the law. “I don’t care if you need pills, needles, whatever. Next week, you’re on that stream. Even if you pass out, even if you stop breathing -you’re doing it.”
