Life Reset Don’t Love Me With Your Betrayal, Don Chapter 06

Ethan slammed his foot on the gas and raced toward the mansion he shared with Olivia.

He ran countless red lights along the way, his palms soaked with cold sweat. As the Walker Family’s heir and Don, he had never lost control like this before—not even during brutal street fights in the past.

Panic and dread wrapped around him tightly. He had never imagined Olivia would make such a decisive choice.

He had always been confident. He believed Olivia loved him more than anything, that she would never truly leave him. That was why he had acted so recklessly.

He had thought if his secrets ever came out, a few apologies and gentle words would be enough to win her back. He had panicked briefly when she found out the truth, but he had quickly composed himself.

He never guessed she would actually run away from the wedding.

His Maybach skidded to a stop in front of the mansion. Ethan burst through the front door.

“Olivia!”

He searched every room frantically. The house was empty. She was gone.

He rushed to the master bedroom. The nightstand on her side was bare. All her documents and personal items had been taken away.

Darkness clouded his vision. He could not accept that she had truly

left him.

A thought struck him, and he raced toward the Carter family home.
The gates were locked tight when he arrived, and the house was empty.

“Where did they go?” He grabbed a nearby neighbor, his eyes red and wild. “Where are Olivia’s parents?”

“They moved out two days ago,” Frank Wilson answered quickly, frightened by his state. “Left in a real hurry. No one knows what trouble they ran into.”

The neighbor hurried away after speaking.

Two days ago. That was while Olivia was still in the hospital. She had planned her escape long before the wedding.

The last traces of hope and rationality crumbled inside him.

She was really gone, and she had left without a single hesitation.

He could not even remember how he made it back to the empty mansion.

The lights stayed off. He sat alone in the total darkness. He had called her number hundreds of times, but only a cold automated reply greeted him every time. Countless apology and explanation texts sat unanswered in his outbox.

He sat there for hours, swallowed up by loneliness and helplessness.

A beep suddenly rang out. The front door’s keypad unlocked.

Hope flared bright inside him.

“Olivia…” He stumbled toward the door and pulled it open. “I knew you’d—”

His joyful expression froze completely when he saw Sophia standing outside. His words died in his throat.

“Sophia! What are you doing here?”

His face twisted with rage. In that moment, he hated the sight of her more than anything.

Sophia’s eyes stung with tears, overwhelmed by bitter frustration.

“You thought it was Olivia? She’s gone. She left you behind for good.” She spoke frantically. “Do you think any woman could forgive you for carrying on with another person for years and years?”

“Shut up!” Ethan snapped.

Tears streamed down Sophia’s face.

“Ethan, I’m the only one who truly loves you. I’m the only one who can accept everything about you.” She grabbed his arm and begged. “Please forget Olivia. Let’s raise our child together and live as a family.”

Ethan pulled his arm free, his expression cold and mocking.

“I love her. What do you mean to me? A family? Only a child accepted by Olivia will ever be recognized as mine. You’d better remember that.”

Sophia stared at him, crushed beyond words. Fresh tears poured down her cheeks.

“You love her? Then why were you with me? Why did you get me

pregnant? Don’t lie to yourself anymore, Ethan!”

His face turned pale. He spoke in a sharp, threatening tone.

“Get out. This is over between us. I will find Olivia, and you are never to show up near us again. Leave now.”

The door slammed shut in her face, cutting off her hysterical cries.

Ethan’s breathing was ragged. He stumbled back into the bedroom and collapsed onto the bed. Tears slipped from his eyes.

He finally understood the truth. He had made terrible mistakes. He had betrayed their love and hurt Olivia deeply.

That was why she had chosen to leave him forever.
