I Was His Luna, Not His Trash Chapter 03

I Was His Luna, Not His Trash Chapter 03

I sat on the floor all night until dawn light finally slipped through the blinds. I dragged myself to the cold metal rack and pulled out a knife.

It felt solid, real. I stared at the blue veins in my wrist, eerily calm.

“You vile woman!” The front door burst open. Aaron stood there, his face dark as a storm cloud.

He stormed toward me and struck me hard across the face.

“Why? Why would you do this?”

My head was spinning. “Do what?”

Aiden rushed in, eyes red, and pushed me hard. “Chloe’s apartment! It burned down last night! If she hadn’t been with us, she would have died! Was it you?! Did you do this?!”

I stumbled backward. The knife slipped from my hand and clattered loudly onto the floor.

Aiden screamed, clutching his hand as blood seeped through his fingers.

“Aiden!” I rushed toward him, forgetting my own pain. “Let me see it! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to—!”

Aaron struck me across the face again. My head snapped back.

“Get away from him! You hurt him! You’re insane! Get out! Get the hell out of here!”

Aiden cried, staring at me with hatred in his eyes. “Go away! I hate you! You’re a monster!”

I stood there, swaying, staring at the two of them. They were my closest people, and now they were looking at me like I was a rabid dog.

“Where would I go?” I whispered, then my voice grew louder. “Where would I go? This is my home! My pack!”

Instinctively, I reached for the knife again.

But Aaron was faster. His hand grabbed the blade, wrenching it from my grip. His blood dripped onto the carpet between us.

“You’ve lost your mind,” he panted. “You’re not thinking clearly.”

I pushed him with all my strength. “You want to break the bond! You want me gone! So why stop me? Does it even matter to you if I live or die?”

Tears streamed down my face. I wanted to scream: Did you ever love me? Did our relationship mean anything to you?

Suddenly, Chloe rushed in, tear stained and dramatic, throwing herself between us. “Elena, please! It’s all my fault! Hurt me, not them! I’m so sorry!”

I just stared blankly at her. I still don’t understand any of this.

“It’s not Chloe’s fault,” Aaron said coldly. “Elena, tell me what you want. Anything. You can stay. But the pup she’s carrying…it’s mine. It will stay here.”

Every word felt like a nail driven into me.

He knew my deepest fear.

My biological father had abandoned my mother and me for his omega mistress and their illegitimate child. He threw us out of the pack house.

We ended up in the slums. My mother endured abuse from clients just to feed me.

Aaron had been there through those nightmares, swearing to the moon, “You are my Luna. My only one. I will never let anyone hurt you again.”

He had broken every vow.

“Take some time to cool off.”

Aaron, Aiden, and Chloe left together, leaving me alone.

I felt my sanity slipping away. My raging wolf drove me to call, text, and scream nonstop.

My emotions cycled through rage, grief, and pathetic pleading. Aaron was my anchor, my support. Without him, I felt like I was drowning.

“Aaron, you’re dead to me! I hope you both rot in hell!”

“Please…please just come home. I’ll forget everything. Just come back…”
