I Was His Luna, Not His Trash Chapter 02

What happened in that hotel room felt like a nightmare without end. Hours later, I stumbled out, my clothes torn and my body hollowed out. I just wanted to call the police.

But Aaron found me first. He held me, his voice desperate and pleading. “Elena, I will never think less of you. Please, don’t go to the police. The settlement would be enough to save the company.”

My sobs never made it out. In that moment of utter collapse, I thought of Aiden’s future, and everything Aaron had worked for.

In the end, I buried those painful memories, signed the NDA, and took the blood stained money.

The company thrived. Aiden got his elite education. But I don’t think I ever smiled the same way again.

For two whole years, the only thing that made me feel real was the sting of a blade cutting into my skin. Sometimes I would smear blood across the walls when I blacked out.

Aaron always cleaned it up, but I could hear him sigh.

And now he dared to call this my fault.

I lunged at him, grabbing his shirt with both hands. “I was raped because of you, because of your company! You don’t have the right—!”

Something flickered in his eyes, almost like guilt, maybe. Then his phone rang. It was Chloe.

He answered immediately, his voice softening. “Don’t be scared. I’m on my way.”

He headed for the door.

I felt our bond shatter into ten thousand pieces, beyond repair. I lunged at him, grabbing his coat. “Don’t you dare leave! You’re my mate, damn it!”

“Do we have to do this right now?” Aaron’s eyes were hollow.

“Mom, you’re so annoying,” Aiden suddenly burst out of his room and shoved me. “Dad, I’m coming with you! Chloe needs us!”

And just like that, they left me behind.

My mate and my own child went to see another woman, leaving me collapsed on the floor in tears.

Neighbors, drawn by the commotion, offered weak comfort. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. Alphas just get overwhelmed when work piles up.”

Late that night, I couldn’t sleep. Chloe posted a photo. It was taken in a bathtub at a luxury hotel. Her fingers were intertwined with a man’s hand.

The caption read: [So grateful for my Alpha, who always shows up when I need him.]

A metallic taste rose in my mouth. With trembling hands, I dialed Aaron’s number.

It rang for a long time. Just as I was about to give up, he answered.

Aaron’s voice came through, low and distant, like he’d put the phone in his pocket.

“…You don’t get it. The pressure of being with Elena…it’s suffocating.”

“She’s been with me since we were kids. She’s understanding. She even took a knife for me. I’m grateful, but sometimes…sometimes I wish she had just died back then.”

The phone clattered to the floor. A dull pain throbbed inside my skull.

Hidden beneath my hair was a seven-inch scar. I got that scar for Aaron.

We were young and defiant back then. He rose to fame quickly, made many enemies, and faced kidnappings and assassination attempts.

When a blade swung toward his head, I didn’t think. I shoved him out of the way and took the hit.

Then he fought like a true Alpha wolf, taking down all of them.

He held me and sobbed, “Elena, you fool. Why? Don’t die in front of me. Take me with you. Please, take me with you!”

He prayed to the Moon Goddess to save me, and somehow, she did.

But in the end, he still broke his promise.
