I Stopped My Kind Son From Being Framed Chapter 07

Chloe Jenkins was dragged out by the authorities officers.

Inside the office, Dean Vance collapsed back into his chair, his face entirely drained of color.

Arthur Miller let out a massive sigh of relief. He walked over and patted Ethan Miller’s shoulder.

“See? I knew it! A son of Arthur Miller would never do something so disgusting! I was just in a rush earlier,

Ethan. Don’t take it to heart.”

Ethan flinched away from his touch, his eyes filled with nothing but pure disappointment.

Looking at Arthur’s hypocritical face, my stomach turned with absolute disgust.

“Arthur,” I said flatly.

“I’m having my lawyer mail the divorce papers to your office tomorrow.”

The smile on Arthur’s face instantly froze.

“Are you out of your mind, Valerie? What kind of sick joke is this?”

“The whole thing is literally resolved! Why the hell are you bringing up divorce?”

I shoved his hand away.

“Resolved?” I stared at him, my voice ice-cold.

“When you were forcing Ethan to get on his knees and take the blame earlier, why didn’t you say it was

resolved?”

“You were willing to trade your own son’s innocence and future just to save your pathetic business and face.”

“Arthur Miller, you’re a spineless coward. You don’t deserve to be Ethan’s father.”

Arthur panicked and spun toward Ethan.

“Ethan, talk some sense into your mother! I was just out of it earlier. I was terrified you’d end up in prison!”

Ethan looked at him, his gaze completely detached.

“Dad, when you told me to confess, did you give a single shit about my life? If I had signed that admission, I’d

be ruined forever.”

Arthur opened his mouth, but no sound came out. He was completely speechless.

“I stand with my mom, Ethan said, stepping back to draw a clear line between them.

Arthur’s face turned an angry purple before he finally snapped.

“Fine! You want to be cruel, Valerie? Let’s divorce! Let’s see how you survive out there taking care of a

dependent all by yourself!”

He slammed the door and stormed off in a fury.

I turned my attention back to Dean Vance, who was shaking behind his desk.

“Mrs. Miller, this is all just a huge misunderstanding…”

“Chloe was just too manipulative. She fooled everyone, including me. On behalf of the university, I want to

apologize to Ethan…”

I pulled up a chair and sat right back down.

“Apologize?”

“You had a completely different face when you were cornering my son just minutes ago, Dean Vance.”

I pulled out my phone and hit play on the voice recorder.

Vance’s threats and coercive demands echoed clearly throughout the entire office.

Vice Chancellor Davis’s face turned completely black.

“Is this how you run your department, Vance?”

Vance’s knees buckled, and he almost fell to the floor.

“Chancellor, I was only trying to protect the university’s reputation…”

“Don’t use the school as your shield,” I cut him off.

“The only reason you were so desperate to give that fellowship to Chloe is because that boy, Logan Harrington, is your wife’s nephew, isn’t he?”

Vance went completely white, staring at me like he had just seen a ghost.

“How… how do you know that?”

In my past life, after Ethan died, I spent a long time digging into everything.

That was how I found out Chloe’s direct fellowship admission wasn’t just because of her acting skills-Vance

had been pulling strings in the dark the entire time.

Logan wanted the freshman speaker spot, so Vance played along, using Chloe to destroy Ethan.

I looked directly at the Vice Chancellor, my tone leaving no room for negotiation.

“Vice Chancellor Davis.”

“Dean Vance is complicit in corporate extortion and academic fraud. I will be handing this recording over to

the authorities department.”

“As for the ones outside…”

I pointed toward the students who hadn’t managed to sneak away from the door yet.

“Spreading unverified defamatory rumors online. I demand the university place them on immediate disciplinary probation and force them to make a public apology at the campus-wide assembly.”
