I Saw Comments Saying I Would Die Alone After the Fourth Divorce Chapter 14

The second I walked into Vance Enterprises, I knew something was wrong. The whole building felt

different – tense, charged. The lobby was packed, and police were everywhere.

Before I could make sense of it, Audrey appeared – pale as paper, flanked by two officers.

Simon was already at Julian’s side. He caught my confusion and stepped in without missing a beat. “Ms. Thorne attempted to steal proprietary data and sell it to a competitor.”

I stared. This was the woman the comments had called pure, selfless, destined for greatness. Now

she was being arrested for corporate espionage.

The comments were losing their minds.

[What is the FL DOING?? She can’t have the ML, so she’s trying to destroy him instead?? What happened to the wholesome girlboss we were promised??]

[Even after getting fired, the company gave her a fat severance! Why go scorched earth?! She could’ve laid low and tried to steal the villainess’s man later!]

[The comment above… are you hearing yourself right now??]

Julian looked down at me. When he spoke, his voice had the same clinical precision he used in

boardrooms.

“Audrey had an average resume. Nothing special on paper. In a company this size, she should’ve disappeared into the background. But her instincts were uncanny – she could predict our major moves before they happened, knew about industry shifts no one at her level should’ve had access to. That kind of information doesn’t come from talent. It comes from somewhere else.”

“That’s why I kept her close.”

It clicked. No wonder the company had exploded over the past few years – revenue doubling, then tripling. Julian had been using Audrey as a cheat code.

He didn’t know she had been reborn – he couldn’t have. But Julian was sharp enough to recognize

that something about her didn’t add up, and smart enough to use it.

The problem was that her advantage had an expiration date.

In her original timeline, Audrey had died in her early thirties – beaten to death by thugs hired by the wife of the man she’d been sleeping with. She’d been someone’s mistress, and it had ended the

everything.

They’d saved two lives – mine and my dad’s.

I walked out of the building.

A voice beside me sounded low and just a little wounded. “So… are we still doing the Bahamas?”

The sun was blinding. I lifted a hand to shade my eyes and felt a smile tug at my

mouth.

“We’re going. Tomorrow.”
