I Saw Comments Saying I Would Die Alone After the Fourth Divorce Chapter 01

After marrying the same man three times, I still hadn’t learned a damn thing.

So when I came downstairs and found his secretary in my kitchen – again – wearing an apron and cooking breakfast like she owned the place, I went straight to the dining table and flipped it over.

A stream of comments flashed across my vision.

[The FL totally earned this rebirth!! One tiny move, and the villainess nuked her own marriage for

the third time. She’s killing it!]

[This drama queen villainess is always bossing the ML around and playing the divorce card every

five seconds. She’s FINALLY burned through all his patience.]

[After divorce number four, the villainess just sits around like an idiot, waiting for the ML to crawl

back the way he always does. She has NO clue the FL already locked him down with a baby. Then the villainess dies alone in some crappy rental lol]

The words knocked me off balance. But my anger moved faster than my shock – I aimed a slap

right at Julian Vance’s face.

The crack rang through the kitchen. Except my palm hadn’t landed where I meant it to.

Audrey Thorne had thrown herself between us, so my hand caught her cheek instead. I didn’t even

get a word out.

She had already started her performance – her lower lip caught between her teeth, tears shining in her eyes, her voice tuned to that perfect little tremble.

“It’s fine, Chloe. If slapping me makes you feel better, I’ll take it.” She touched the red mark blooming on her cheek. “But I spent all morning making that breakfast. My effort – whatever, forget that. But Julian can’t miss meals. You know his stomach will act up later…”

I rolled my eyes so hard it hurt.

“That slap was meant for your precious Julian. Nobody asked you to jump in the way.”

Audrey’s eyes welled up right on cue. Julian was already on his feet.

He stepped between us and looked down at me. When he spoke, his voice was almost too calm.

“Are you quite finished?”

I scoffed and turned away. Boundaries – this man had never heard of them.

The silence dragged on. Then Julian said, “You should go.”

I clenched my jaw and turned to leave, but Julian caught my arm.

Audrey froze. Then she nodded, playing the obedient martyr.

“If that’s what you want, Julian.”

She was almost at the door when she paused and turned back, that soft, dutiful look plastered back

on her face.

“Don’t forget – we have a ten o’clock meeting with Cole from Apex. I’ll prep everything. See you at

the office.”

Julian glanced at her. “Yeah.”

They did it right in front of me. They stood in my house, trading looks like I was part of the

furniture.

Something white-hot flared through my chest.

[The ML looks absolutely PISSED – he’s clearly furious the villainess hit the FL. You can tell he’s completely done with her!]

[So he got the FL out of there before this unhinged villainess could go off again. Such green flag behavior, we love to see it]

[Our girl is literally hurt and STILL making sure business gets handled. THAT’S why she deserves to stand next to the ML. The villainess could never – all she has is a pretty face and nothing

between her ears!]

[Just wait – the villainess is about to play the divorce card any second now, and the ML will agree on the spot. The plot’s about to start moving!!]

My heart skipped a beat.

They were right. I was angry enough to say it

angry enough to throw the word ‘divorce’ in his

face right here, right now.

Were these comments actually real?

Had Julian already fallen for Audrey? Was he just waiting for me to walk away on my own?

Then why the hell did he keep coming back? Why had he remarried me three times?

My head was still spinning when I noticed Julian had already tied on an apron with easy, practiced

hands, like this was any other morning.

“What do you want? I don’t have time for anything fancy – do toast and eggs work?”

[Why hasn’t the villainess dropped the divorce bomb yet?? She’s keeping the ML trapped here making her breakfast while the FL waits alone. She’s so manipulative it’s gross!]

[The villainess only gets away with this because she’s the ML’s mentor’s daughter. She guilt-trips him with that connection every single time. Poor guy’s been divorced three times and STILL can’t

get away.]

[THIS is exactly why the FL never liked her. The first thing she did after her rebirth was win the ML back and give him the love he actually deserves!]

Julian stood there, calm and distant as ever, and something behind my ribs cracked. My eyes

started to burn.

“I’m not eating! Just go to work!”

I spun around and shut myself in the bedroom.

A few minutes later, an engine turned over outside.

Julian left. He walked out just like that. He didn’t say a single word.
