I Only Wanted Luxury Shopping, and Accidentally Saved the Whole Family Chapter 15

I stood up and walked over to him, looking down at the utterly defeated fraud.

“I’d love to see,” I sneered mockingly, “who’s stupid enough to come after me.”

“Turn him over to the police,” I said, turning to Ezra. “He forged documents to commit tens of billions in fraud. Let him spend the rest of his life behind bars learning how to use Photoshop.”

“Let me go!” Asher thrashed violently like a fish out of water.

But the Kensington bodyguards dragged him out the front doors without breaking stride.

As the doors slammed shut, quiet returned to the living room.

The crisis was resolved. Yet I knew the family’s scrutiny of me had only just begun.

Veronica still held the genuine proof of ownership tightly in her hand. The way she looked at me transformed from shock into reverence—and even a touch of guilt.

“Willow…” Her lips parted as if she wanted to say something, but she didn’t know where to start.

Sloane stood beside her with her head lowered, devoid of her usual pride as a venture capital icon.

Supported by Ezra, Conrad slowly stood up. He walked over to me and looked at me deeply.

“Willow,” Conrad let out a long sigh. “We’ve done you wrong all these years.”

I shook my head and said calmly, “Dad, don’t say that. You never wronged me. You let me shop to my heart’s content. I was perfectly happy.”

Hearing “shop to my heart’s content,” Veronica’s face flushed bright red. What she used to look down on most was my behavior as a girl who “only knew how to spend money.”

Now she realized that the petty change I spent wasn’t even a fraction of my actual wealth.

“Veronica,” I turned to her. “Richard will wire the Kensington Group’s cash flow back to your accounts shortly. As for the rest restructuring and counterattack…”

I pointed at Ezra. “Let Ezra take full control. He’s actually much smarter than you think.”

Ezra froze. He had always assumed I was a helpless little thing who needed his protection. He never expected me to hand full authority over the family empire to him.

“Willow.” he took my hand, his palm warm. “Who are you really?”

He looked into my eyes, asking with complete seriousness.

I smiled and squeezed his hand back. “I’m Willow. The wife you were blind enough to marry.”

Ezra laughed, though his eyes grew misty.

“I wasn’t blind,” he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into an embrace. “I struck gold.”

Sloane walked over, looking a little embarrassed.

“Willow,” she cleared her throat. “I misjudged you. Next time there’s a European fund merger, I’ll be coming to you for advice.”

I waved my hand.

“Sloane, I don’t understand acquisitions,” I said with a straight face. “I only know how to buy bags.”

Sloane froze, then let out a self-deprecating smile. “Right, buying bags… and casually buying out the entire supply chain along the way.”

Veronica stepped up as well, her eyes carrying a hint of genuine, pleasing favor.

“Willow… that Himalaya Crocodile Birkin…” she asked tentatively, “could you help get one for me, too?”
