I Froze the Shares Before He Could Give Them Away Chapter 08

She held three sealed bags.

In the first was the paper cup Leo had left at the annual meeting.

In the second was the coffee cup Richard had used in the lounge that day.

In the third was the sample receipt from the agency Chloe had used in her livestream.

Margaret handed the documents to the staff.

“After notarized preservation and independent lab testing, there is no biological father-child

relationship between Leo Vance and Richard Vance.”

The teddy bear in Chloe’s hand fell to the floor.

Leo burst into tears from the shock.

Richard looked like he didn’t understand the words.

“That’s impossible.”

Margaret continued: “The report Mrs. Davis displayed in her livestream-the male sample registered on the receipt was not Richard Vance himself, but an unknown male sample. The person who signed for the collection was Arthur Brooks.”

Every camera turned to Arthur.

Arthur’s lips trembled.

Richard grabbed his collar.

“Who told you to do this!”

Arthur finally snapped.

“It wasn’t me! Richard, Chloe was the one who told me to deliver the DNA report; you only told me to handle the equity and the books!”

After that sentence, the conference hall was dead silent.

Chloe screamed, “Arthur! Don’t you dare frame me!”

Arthur shoved Richard’s hand away.

“Frame you? The transfer records you sent me are still there! You said as long as Leo’s Vance

bloodline was confirmed and the equity was in hand, you’d give me 10% of the money from the offshore accounts!”

Beatrice slammed her cane on the floor.

“Shut up! Everyone shut up!”

I watched the scene.

I wasn’t surprised.

In my last life, they were just like this.

When they drove me to a dead end, they stood together like a family. Once the knife turned toward

them, they started tearing each other apart.

Richard’s face was ashen as he turned to Chloe.

“Leo isn’t mine?”

Chloe held the child and backed away.

“Richard, let me explain. I was tricked too; I thought…”

“You thought what?”

“I thought you loved me.” She cried harder. “You said you’d give us a home. I was just so scared- scared that Eleanor wouldn’t let go, scared that the dowager wouldn’t recognize Leo. That’s why

I…”

“So you used someone else’s child to lie to me?”

Chloe’s eyes were frantic.

She looked at Beatrice.

“Old Mrs. Vance, I didn’t mean to. You’re the one who said that as long as there was a child, the Vance family would accept me. You also knew Richard wanted an heir; you all needed Leo!”

Beatrice’s face went white.

The “Vance bloodline” she wanted to protect most had become the ultimate joke.

But that wasn’t the final blow.

I nodded to Margaret.

Margaret opened the second folder.

“Next is the notice of full clawback issued by the Sterling Family Trust to Vance Enterprises.”

Richard looked at me sharply.

“Eleanor, don’t you dare!”

I said, “I’ve already signed it.”

The screen switched.

The three trust capital entry records from seven years ago, the Vance system deletion logs, Arthur’s permission trail, and Richard’s email instructions were displayed page by page along a

timeline.

Every page bore a notary stamp.

Margaret’s voice was steady.

“Seven years ago, Vance Enterprises received a total of $730 million from the Sterling Family Trust to repay matured debts and maintain operations. That capital and its corresponding equity legally belong to the pre-marital trust income of Eleanor Sterling and are not marital property.”

“Over the last three days, Arthur Brooks, acting under Richard Vance’s instructions, attempted to delete entry records and repackage trust assets as Vance family capital.”

“According to Article 17 of the original trust, if the beneficiary’s marital assets are maliciously transferred, hidden, or misappropriated, the manager has the right to initiate a full clawback and freeze voting rights.”

Someone in the hall gasped.

Richard’s hands dropped to his sides.

He finally understood that today wasn’t about whether I would sign.

It was about whether the Vance family would even be allowed to stay in this room.
