I Found My Boyfriend Signing As Another Woman’s Husband Chapter 07

Kaylee flung a stack of photos in front of me.

They were all of Caleb. Sitting on the floor in the middle of the night, drinking alone. Unshaven, hollow-eyed.

Fresh cuts marked the back of his hand.

“Happy now?” she spat, her eyes burning with hatred. “You drove him to this. You’re disgusting.”

I leaned against the doorframe without even glancing at the photos. “If he wants to hurt himself, that’s his

business. If you care so much, tie him up and keep him inside. At least then he won’t come bleeding all over

the tile downstairs.”

That shut her up for a second.

Her face twisted, then she quickly rearranged it into something smug. “You really think that new guy cares

about you? He just feels sorry for you.”

She stepped closer, her voice sharp. “Caleb said it himself. A woman like you is replaceable anywhere.

‘Low-maintenance, remember? That means no one misses you when you’re gone.”

I pulled out my phone and hit play.

Her words from seconds ago echoed clearly through the speaker.

Her expression collapsed.

I met her gaze. “Kaylee, aren’t you tired of faking your illness? Want me to give Caleb your doctor’s number? Maybe he’d like to hear the truth about that ‘congenital heart condition’ you keep talking about.”

She took a step back. The color drained from her face instantly.

At that moment, Julian’s door opened.

He glanced at the scene in the hallway, didn’t ask a single question, and pulled out his phone. “There’s someone harassing residents on this floor. Please send security up.”

By the time building security arrived, Kaylee’s face looked like it had been wrung dry.

As she was escorted away, she shot me one last venomous glare. I stood there, expressionless, watching

her disappear into the elevator.

Julian handed me a cup of warm milk. “People like that aren’t worth getting your hands dirty over.”

I took a sip. “I know.”

After she left, Kaylee ran back to Caleb and spun her story. She said I threatened her, shoved her, tried to

harm her baby.

This time, it didn’t work.

Caleb looked up at her, his eyes cold enough to make her flinch. “You went to see her?”

Kaylee tried to keep acting, clutching her chest as she collapsed onto the couch.

Caleb didn’t move. He sat across from her, watching her with icy detachment. “Who gave you the nerve to

bother her?”

Kaylee froze.

In three years, this was the first time Caleb had ever spoken to her like that.
