I Crashed His Car, Then He Crashed My Life Chapter 04

I Crashed His Car, Then He Crashed My Life Chapter 04

I instinctively hooked my arms around his neck, then fell back from the pain, almost bursting into tears.

Then I became extremely unreasonable.

“You… hurt me.”

Xavier’s breathing stopped for a second.

His voice was hoarse in a way that did not sound right.

“I’m sorry, Grace.”

As he spoke, he held my wrist and placed my hand on his chest.

His tone was serious, like he was signing some ridiculous liability waiver.

“It’s my fault. Hit me, Grace. Don’t be mad.”

The feeling under my palm was firm and springy.

My brain went blank for half a second.

Then, with no dignity at all, I revenge-pinched him again and again.

Xavier let out a low muffled sound.

The corners of his eyes dipped slightly, and somehow, he looked a little pitiful.

“Can Grace forgive me now?”

Seeing the red marks I had pinched into his fair chest, my face burned.

Wonderful.

I was like a tourist who had never seen the world, successfully checking in on his body.

I quickly found an excuse and ran back to my room.

Only after closing the door did I realize I had left my phone behind.

When I opened the door again, Xavier was already standing outside, holding my phone out to me.

He tilted his head, the curve of his lips far too perfect.

“Good night, Grace.”

I thanked him politely.

Before bed, I remembered the contact request Sienna mentioned.

I opened my friend request page.

There were no new notifications.

The next morning, I climbed out of bed half-asleep to get water.

As soon as I opened the bedroom door, I saw Xavier walking out of the bathroom.

From head to toe, he wore only a towel hanging loosely around his waist.

Water droplets slid from his messy hair down the lines of his abs, disappearing into a place I absolutely

should not keep looking at.

Once again, I froze uselessly.

He walked over and smiled.

“Morning, Grace.”

He showered again first thing in the morning.

So hygienic.

So deadly.

I was about to pretend I had seen nothing and turn back to crawl into bed.

Then a loud shout came from outside the door.

“Gracie, open up.”

The familiar voice made me instantly sober.

I quickly dragged Xavier into the bedroom and shoved him into the closet in one breath.

He looked at me, something dark and unreadable flickering in his pretty eyes.

“What is Grace doing? Hiding me?”

“Is that guy… important to Grace?”

My brother Evan wailed outside the door again.

I casually told Xavier not to make a sound, then rushed out of the bedroom.

After much effort, I dragged my loudmouth drunk brother into the guest room and made him collapse honestly onto the bed.

I breathed in relief, went back to the bedroom, and opened the closet.

Xavier was curled inside with his long legs bent, looking pitiful.

He looked at me, the light in his black eyes as if it had been crushed.

“Sorry. I shouldn’t be here bothering Grace. I should’ve left last night.”

That fragile look made my heart soften for no reason.

I quickly explained, “That’s my brother Evan. His brain has temporarily moved out. I was afraid he’d misunderstand and hurt you.’

He suddenly raised his head and blinked at me.

“I understand. So Grace was protecting me.”

So cute it felt illegal.

I almost wanted to reach out and rub his head.

Truly hopeless.

Human resistance to pretty creatures was basically 0.

The moment he crawled out of the closet, his tall body swayed and leaned toward me.

I reached out to steady him, and my whole body was nearly trapped in his arms.

A soft laugh sounded by my ear.

“My legs are a little numb. Trouble Grace to hold me for a while.”

My hand secretly measured his waist.

After he stood steady, I looked at the towel that had somehow ended up in my hand and fell into deep

thought.

Then I looked down.

It looked very nice.

Xavier’s face stayed calm.

He pressed his lips together.

“Grace.”

“Can I have the towel back first?”

I said, “…”

For God’s sake, I really was not a pervert.
