I Canceled My Wedding and Married Someone Else Chapter 07

“After you and Carl left the wedding,” Tiffany whispered, “Josh got drunk… and we slept together.”

“The baby is already five months old. But Mr. and Mrs. Lopez won’t let Josh come back. They refuse

to acknowledge this child.”

“My money’s almost gone, I can’t afford to raise a baby alone. Šierra… please, let Josh return.”

My eyes drifted to her slightly rounded belly. My voice remained calm. “You think I stopped Josh

from returning? You think I ruined you two tragic lovers?”

Tiffany pressed her lips together, but her silence said everything.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed.

“Tiffany, if the Lopez family won’t let Josh come home, are they also stopping you from leaving the

country?”

“You’re pregnant, why didn’t he fly you overseas to take care of you? Why leave you struggling here

alone?”

I leaned in, voice dropping cold.

“Could you use your brain for once? Stop dumping every problem on me. I don’t waste my energy sabotaging the two of you. You’re simply not worth it.”

I stood to leave, but something grabbed my leg. Tiffany had collapsed onto the carpet, clinging to

me as tears streamed down her face.

“Sierra, I’m begging you. Let Josh come back. I’m not like you–I’m not rich. I can barely afford to

eat while being pregnant.”

“I’m no threat to you–none! Josh knows he was wrong. He doesn’t love you anymore. Even if he returns, he won’t stop you from marrying into the Howard family!”

“I’m begging you! Please! Please spare us!”

Her grip on my leg tightened. The carpet softened her, but the commotion drew attention.

Employees peeked around the corner, whispering, and someone even pulled out a phone to record.

My secretary hurried over, unsure. “Ms. Robinson… do you need me to remove her?”

I looked down at Tiffany, whose performance was clearly meant to create public pressure. A cold smile spread across my lips.

“Escort her to the Lopez estate. Let them deal with the mess they helped create.”

As she was dragged out, I watched her trembling figure, my expression turning flat and unreadable.

so she wants to use me as her entry pass to the Lopez estate? Fine. I’ll indulge her. But whether she could survive that “fortune” was another matter entirely.

Tiffany had grown up in a family who viewed daughters as currency and sons as gold.

She had a younger brother, and because her parents wanted her married off quickly to fund the family, they refused to pay her college tuition, nearly forcing her to drop out.

I had pitied her and covered her loans, helping her start fresh after graduation. She could’ve lived an ordinary, peaceful life.

But she tasted money once during sixty–six thousand at the wedding auction, and the Larson family immediately smelled blood. There was no way they’d let her slip away again.

Sure enough, some time later, the Lopez estate erupted into chaos. “You ungrateful wretch! You think you’re too good for your own family now that you married into wealth?”

Mrs. Larson jabbed a finger at Tiffany’s forehead, spit flying. “We raised you! You owe us your entire life! Trying to cut ties? Don’t even dream about it!”

People passing by turned to stare as Tiffany’s parents put on their show.

“Look, everyone! This is my daughter, who betrayed us the moment she got into the Lopez family! We worked our fingers to the bone to send her to college!”

“She’s shameless! I found her a perfect match back home, but she refused!”

“Now she’s carrying the Lopez heir with no marriage in sight, living in a villa while we and her brother work the fields! Is there no justice in this world?”

Tiffany, pale as a sheet, clung to her parents‘ arms. “I already gave you sixty thousand! I have no money left! Please stop causing trouble! If the Lopez family sees this, they’ll kick me out!”

Mr. Larson’s eyes gleamed with twisted excitement.

“You auctioned yourself for sixty–six thousand, didn’t you? And Josh doesn’t want you, and he won’t return. So why not get rid of the baby and sell yourself again?”

“I heard there was another bidder that night who offered nearly the same as Josh. He said he’d pay immediately if you went to his bed.”

“That’s better than the Lopez family, at least he’s offering money! You’ve stayed here this long and

haven’t sent us a single cent!”

A shiver ran down Tiffany’s spine. She staggered backward, horrified. Her parents grabbed an arm each, hauling her toward the gate.

st as they were about to drag her out of the villa district, a car pulled up. Josh stepped out, exhausted, unshaven, and hollow–eyed.

Hope exploded in Tiffany’s gaze. She screamed, voice breaking.

“Josh–help me!”
