His ‘Love Coach’ Planned Every Step of Our Relationship, She Also Planned Its End Chapter 08

At the exact moment Logan reached his absolute breaking point, a sharp knock suddenly rattled the front door.

He didn’t even bother to put on shoes, sprinting frantically to open it.

But as the door swung open, the silhouette waiting on the threshold wasn’t me—it was Darcy.

In that fraction of a second, a flash of pure, unvarnished disappointment washed over Logan’s face.

Darcy, however, was far too consumed by the humiliation of being stood up to notice his expression, immediately latching onto his arm to whine.

“You promised you were going to stage that confession for me!” she complained, her voice dripping with petulant anger. “Logan, do you have any idea how deeply humiliating it was for me to be left stranded out there?”

An entire night had passed, and Logan’s mind had been so utterly fried by my sudden disappearance that he had completely wiped the restaurant disaster from his memory. Now, with Darcy jarring his memory, the lingering embarrassment of that evening came rushing back.

For the first time, a flicker of genuine resentment toward the woman standing before him flared in his chest.

Was it possible that I had walked away out of pure despair because he surrendered our high-end anniversary restaurant to Darcy?

If he hadn’t caved to Darcy’s toxic game and agreed to stage that ridiculous fake confession, would I still be by his side? The crushing realization that I had genuinely chosen Felix over him made it suffocatingly hard to breathe.

Looking at Darcy’s disheveled, pathetic state, a residual trace of his old sympathy flickered, and his first instinct was to step aside and let her in.

But the moment he shifted, his mind was hijacked by the image of Felix and me together.

He was driven completely insane just looking at me in Felix’s arms—so what about me? Over the last five years, watching him flaunt his intimacy with Darcy, how much agonizing torture had I quietly endured?

In that split second, the answer to why I had thrown such explosive tantrums every single time he favored Darcy finally hit him. A wave of bitter, blinding regret washed over him.

He couldn’t even understand how everything had warped so badly. In the beginning, he had asked Darcy to be his relationship coach out of a genuine desire to make our relationship last.

But over time, familiarity bred complacency, and then boredom. He had gradually begun to enjoy the cheap thrill of her throwing herself at him under the safe, unassailable title of “wingman”.

At his most blinded and delusional, he had completely tuned out my desperate tears and pleas.

Only now did Logan finally see the unvarnished truth of why I had walked away.

It was because he and Darcy had entirely obliterated the line. He was the one who was wrong. He shouldn’t have tried to have his cake and eat it too, forcing me to swallow Darcy’s toxic presence in our lives.

And he certainly shouldn’t have dismissed my feelings, letting Darcy infiltrate every single crevice of our relationship.

His resolve hardening, Logan anchored his foot, physically blocking Darcy from stepping into the apartment.

When he spoke, every ounce of his usual warmth had vanished.

“Get out. We’re done talking, Darcy. We can’t see each other anymore.”

“Sylvia hates it when you’re around.”

“And I am not losing Sylvia.”
