His ‘Love Coach’ Planned Every Step of Our Relationship, She Also Planned Its End Chapter 05

The moment Felix appeared, every eye in the room locked onto me.

In that split second, any petty desire to just spite Logan completely vanished. Instead, looking at the man I had known for so many years, a deep, quiet certainty settled over me—he would never let me down.

Whether this gesture was born out of grand romance or deep friendship, I knew one thing for sure: I would be infinitely happier than I had been for the last five years.

I reached out, letting my finger slide toward the ring he held, and nodded with a soft smile.

“I do.”

The words had barely left my lips when the entire room erupted into cheers.

“Kiss her! Kiss her!”

“Oh my god, look at the party favors his friends are handing out! That is so sweet!”

“They look absolutely perfect together. I knew she’d say yes!”

I looked around the room, meeting the warm, supportive smiles of total strangers. The only exception was Logan, whose face had turned a sickening shade of ash as he stared frozen in my direction.

Seeing the proposal succeed, Felix waved a hand, signaling his friends to start distributing custom boxes of sweets to the cheering crowd.

Then, grabbing a handful of chocolates himself, he stepped right up to Logan—whether out of sheer coincidence or deliberate provocation—and shoved them toward him.

His tone was dripping with arrogance.

“Just had a successful proposal. Figured I’d let you share in the good vibes.”

Logan’s expression darkened further. Without a word, he aggressively slapped the sweets out of Felix’s hand, his eyes burning holes straight through me.

Ignoring his gaze, I stepped past the mess, wrapped my arm securely through Felix’s, and said coldly, “Don’t bother. He doesn’t deserve the good fortune anyway.”

With that, I turned to leave with Felix.

But Logan abruptly lunged forward, blocking our path.

“Come back with me,” he demanded, his voice strained. “I already told you, I’ll make up our five-year anniversary dinner to you later.”

Later. When exactly was later? Tomorrow? Next year?

It didn’t matter anymore. He had no idea that I no longer cared about a five-year anniversary, and I certainly didn’t care about him.

I looked at him, my voice completely drained of emotion. “I told you, we’re over. Who I choose to be with has absolutely nothing to do with you.”

Logan looked back at me, a flicker of helpless frustration crossing his features, clearly refusing to believe it. “Can you stop throwing a tantrum? We’ve been together for five years, Sylvia. It hasn’t been easy. Don’t pick now to act like a spoiled brat.”

Right. Even he knew five years wasn’t easy. Then why, knowing exactly how hard it was, did he still let Darcy walk all over me and make my life miserable?

The sheer exhaustion of the past few days finally caught up to me, making my head spin violently. I didn’t have the strength to demand answers anymore, let alone argue over who was right or wrong.

All I wanted was to get as far away from this man as humanly possible.

Sensing my distress, Felix immediately wrapped an arm around me, pulling me securely against his chest and murmuring quiet words of comfort.

Watching me melt into another man’s arms right in front of Logan, Darcy looked as if she wanted nothing more than to grind me into the dirt then and there.
