His Last Mistake Was Letting Me Go Chapter 09

His Last Mistake Was Letting Me Go Chapter 09

Harold’s face darkened. “Mr. Ashford, I may not know much about you, but I don’t think you know much

about me either.”

“I have people at the state level. I think it would be best to end this here.”

My father looked at him. “You don’t know enough about me because you’re not qualified to.”

“As for me not knowing enough about you, that’s because I was never interested.”

With a grim expression, Harold took out his phone. “Mr. Ashford, are you sure you want me to make this

call?”

My father ignored him and took out his own phone.

Within moments, he made a call and said, “Within ten minutes, I want Prescott Group cut off from every major line of credit.”

After hanging up, my father looked at Harold again.

“Go ahead and call whoever you want. Let’s see if anyone can save Prescott Group.”

Harold was just about to make his call when his phone rang first.

After he answered, his expression grew even uglier.

One call had barely ended before another came in, and sweat began streaming down his face.

The calls were from major banks, and without exception, every one of them was calling in its loans.

Then his business partners began calling, each of them demanding to terminate their contracts.

Harold hurriedly called one of his connections.

“You offended someone you never should have touched. I can’t help you.”

The other side said only that before hanging up.

“Dad, what happened?” Sienna’s brother asked anxiously.

Then Harold dropped to his knees in front of my father.

“Mr. Ashford, Sienna has already paid for what she did. Please, spare me.”

The richest man in Riverton knelt on the floor, sobbing and begging.

“My daughter asked Sienna a question just now, and now I’ll ask you one.”

“If I didn’t have this power, what would have happened to my daughter today?”

Harold’s face turned ashen. He still wanted to say something, but my father only raised a hand, and several men immediately stepped forward and dragged him out.

Sienna’s brother was dragged out as well.

The father and son kept begging for mercy, but as my father had said, the Ashford family did not make enemies lightly.

We preferred peaceful business whenever possible and were always willing to give others a chance.

But once someone became our enemy, we moved decisively and made sure they could never recover.

The pleas of Harold and his son grew weaker and weaker.

Then my gaze fell on Adrian.
