A Rolls-Royce rolled into the courtyard first, followed by one black G-Wagon after another, their engines growling low and heavy.

Men in dark suits stepped out and moved quickly into the house.

“Ms. Prescott!”

They lowered their heads to Sienna.

“Who bullied my sister?”

A tall man stormed in and went straight to Sienna.

Tears instantly filled Sienna’s eyes. “She… she…”

She pointed straight at me.

Her brother charged toward me, ready to strike.

“Wait.”

Another voice cut in. The suited men moved aside, and a man in his fifties walked in.

He was Sienna’s father, Harold Prescott, the wealthiest man in Riverton.

He looked at Adrian. “Adrian, my daughter was mistreated in your home. Shouldn’t you be standing up for

her?”

“Mr. Prescott, that was my failure.”

Adrian walked toward me step by step.

I tried to retreat, but the Prescott family’s men blocked my way.

Adrian stopped in front of me and slapped me across the face.

“That was for disrespecting Sienna.”

He slapped me again.

“That was for being greedy enough to use that baby as leverage.”

The third slap landed across my face, and I stumbled before falling to the floor, blood seeping from the

corner of my mouth.

Adrian looked down at me. “Now kneel and apologize to Sienna.”

My face burned, but the ache in my chest cut deeper.

This was the same man who had once sworn to protect me for the rest of his life. Yet the moment Sienna came back, he struck me without the slightest hesitation.

I wiped the blood from my mouth and looked at Sienna. “You’re rushing to hurt me now because you’re afraid you won’t get another chance once my family arrives, aren’t you?”

Harold looked at Sienna. “What is this about?”

Sienna said carelessly, “This bitch called her family and tried to get them to back her up. I was so scared, so I called you.”

She came over, crouched in front of me, and patted my face. “I’m really terrified. When your father gets here, is he going to kill me?”

She laughed first, and the suited men around her burst into laughter as well.

Sienna’s brother laughed so hard he nearly doubled over. “I really didn’t think anyone in Riverton would

dare threaten the Prescotts.”

“Sienna, what do you want to do? Handle her now, or wait?”

Sienna stood, her eyes cold.

“Of course we wait. I want this bitch to understand what happens when she refuses to behave.”

“I want her to watch her father kneel in front of me.”

“I want her to understand how stupid it was to call for help.”

“Then we’ll wait.” Harold sat down. “I’d like to see who has the nerve to touch Harold Prescott’s daughter

in Riverton.”

Just as Harold finished speaking, a deep roar came from the distance.

I turned and saw dark specks approaching through the sky. They drew closer and closer until, moments later, several helicopters were circling above Adrian’s house.

Then black SUVs and military-grade Humvees rushed into the courtyard one after another.

Harold’s expression shifted.
