His Camera Loved My Best Friend Chapter 11

His Camera Loved My Best Friend Chapter 11

“Leah.”

I looked up.

Julian stepped out of the shadows.

His clothes were wrinkled, and his face was pale.

He stared straight at me.

“I waited for you all afternoon.”

Mason had been about to get in the car.

After seeing Julian, he reached out as if to shield me behind him.

I smiled and shook my head.

“It’s fine. Let me handle it.”

This was between Julian and me.

I didn’t want to drag an innocent person into it again.

Besides, I didn’t want to rely on someone else for something this small.

The next second, I paused.

So in my heart, whatever remained between Julian and me had already become something small.

Julian’s eyes were red, but his tone was full of resentment.

“What exactly did I do wrong that you’re treating me like this?”

I looked at him.

“Julian, do you really not know?”

Or did he not dare think about it?

Because if he thought about it, he would know everything had been caused by his own hands.

Because he was afraid of regret.

Julian’s breathing stalled.

“No matter what, you shouldn’t spend an entire day out with another man.”

I laughed.

“So you know being alone with someone of the opposite sex is inappropriate.”

In Vanessa’s posts, Julian had spent time alone with her countless times.

They had even slept on the same bed.

Julian had not expected me to know so much.

His expression showed panic.

But he still forced himself to sound hard.

“If you really cared, why didn’t you tell me?”

“If you had said something sooner, we wouldn’t have reached this point.”

Seeing him still try to push the blame onto me, I almost laughed.

But I couldn’t.

What kind of person had I loved?

“I didn’t tell you because I knew it wouldn’t matter.”

Julian froze.

Before, whenever something happened, I loved going to Julian.

“Julian, there’s a huge black dog downstairs biting people. What should I do?”

“Julian, my manager is pressuring me to drink at a client dinner. What should I do?”

Back then, I wasn’t asking Julian to appear immediately and solve everything.

I only thought that if he responded to me one more time, he would be part of my life one more time.

But every time, he read my messages and didn’t reply.

He refused to answer me.

He refused to take part in my life.

So I learned one thing.

When something happened, telling Julian was useless.

Slowly, I stopped going to him.

Julian used to be too busy.

Busy with work.

Busy photographing Vanessa.

Too busy to notice that I had not come to him for a long time.

But now, after I pointed it out, he finally noticed.

Once he realized it, unease flashed in his eyes.

He reached out, wanting to pull me.

I stepped back and avoided his hand.

“I know.”

“If I had said something, Vanessa would have come up with countless reasons to cover it.”

“She would’ve made me think I was overthinking.”

Julian clenched his fist, visibly nervous.

I looked at him and spoke word by word.

“And you would have stood on her side.”

“So I gave up.”

“I gave up communicating.”

“And I gave up on you.”

Julian froze where he stood.

His tone was unwilling.

“Just because of this one small thing, you want to break up with me?”

“Do you know what I’ve been through these days?”

“I nearly went insane looking for you.”

My expression did not change.

At last, Julian couldn’t hold back.

Through gritted teeth, he shouted:

“I don’t believe it.”

“How could one small thing cause a breakup?”

I suddenly asked:

“Do you know I don’t eat scallions?”
