Gabriel’s smile shattered. His pupils dilated in sheer panic.

He whipped his head toward the screen, freezing like stone.

Before the crowd could even process the image, a crystal-clear audio recording blasted through the sound system.

It was the conversation he had with his Beta outside the dressing room during the dress fitting.

“Alpha, did you actually mark that new Omega who just joined the pack?”

“I gave Flora the title of Luna. What more could she possibly want?”

“Her mother only wormed her way into the Dewmoon Pack by running off another wolf’s fated mate, didn’t she?”

Gabriel’s voice boomed through the Celestial Hall.

The elders in the front row turned completely pale.

Gabriel’s mother clutched her chest, nearly fainting on the spot.

The pack members and visiting Alphas erupted into furious whispers, their expressions shifting instantly from admiration to disgust.

Samantha sat in her corner, biting her lip until it bled.

“Shut it off! Turn it off right now!”

Gabriel finally snapped out of his trance, roaring at the priestess.

The priestess scrambled in a panic, killing the power grid.

The screen cut to black, but right then, the side doors swung wide open.

I walked onto the altar step by step, the heels of my boots clicking sharply against the marble, my black trench coat trailing behind me.

Gabriel caught sight of me and stumbled forward.

“Flora! Let me explain!”

I stepped sideways, easily dodging his outstretched hands.

“Explain what?”

“Explain why you were planning a mating ceremony with me while simultaneously marking an Omega?”

“Flora, listen to me, it’s not what it looks like…”

Gabriel lunged to grab my arm, his fingers clawing desperately at the air.

“That registry… it was a mistake!”

The words tumbled out of him in a frantic mess.

“Samantha was in trouble. I only did it to protect her…”

“Really?” I cut him off, my voice dropping to a freezing edge.

“Does protecting her require taking her to the Silverpine Forest to buy a moonstone necklace?”

“Does it require altering my wedding venue to match her personal taste?”

Gabriel stared at me in absolute shock, as if looking at a stranger.

“Flora, you’re the only one I love!”

He shouted over the murmurs of the crowd, trying to force emotion into his voice to mask the lie.

“I swear to the Moon Goddess, I only love you! She means nothing, I’ll break the bond with her right now!”

Across the room, Samantha bolted out of her seat, staring at Gabriel with wide, uncomprehending eyes.

A wave of suppressed mocking laughter rippled through the guest section.

“Your love is pathetic, Gabriel.”

I pulled the folder from my bag and slammed it against his chest.

“Here are the contracts for the three million dollars you owe me, along with the release forms for my assets.”

“You have three days to return every cent, with interest.”

Gabriel looked down at the documents he had signed weeks ago, completely unraveling.

“Flora, please… don’t do this. Let’s talk. Don’t do something you’ll regret…”

“Regret?” I let out a sharp, cold laugh.

“Gabriel, I have never been more sober in my entire life.”

I turned to look at the sea of stunned faces filling the hall.

“Today’s ceremony is canceled. I apologize for making everyone sit through this circus.”

“However, since Alpha Gabriel and Samantha are already legally bonded, you can all consider this their wedding reception.”

Without giving Gabriel another glance, I turned on my heel and walked out.

“Floral”

Gabriel screamed my name behind me, his voice tearing raw.

He lunged forward to chase me, but his father intercepted him, leveling him to the floor with a vicious backhand.
