The moment he hit send, a red exclamation mark appeared.

He froze.

Had she blocked him?

Just because he didn’t go pick her up at the station?

The thought had barely crossed his mind before anger surged through him.

He had just stood up when Ryan sent him a voice message.

He tapped it open.

“Adrian, where the hell are you right now? Have you seriously not looked at the messages I sent you?”

“Aren’t you supposed to be on a Destination Wedding trip with Nora? Then why the hell isn’t the groom you? Where are you?”

The groom?

Adrian stood frozen, listening to the voice message from beginning to end without missing a single word.

Then he called Ryan back.

The moment the call connected, he asked,

“What are you talking about? What do you mean I’m not the groom?”

Ryan went silent for two seconds.

“You didn’t see the Status?”

“Whose Status?”

“Ethan’s! The guy from college who confessed to Nora eighteen times and got rejected every single time!”

“He uploaded a post saying he picked himself up a wife. The pictures showed two Marriage Certificates.”

“And the names on them were Ethan and Nora!”

Adrian’s fingers tightened around his phone.

“You must have gotten it wrong.”

“I’ve looked at it ten damn times!” Ryan snapped.

“Do you think I wouldn’t recognize Nora? It’s her! I’m sending you the screenshot right now.”

After a moment, Ryan continued.

“The location tag says Frostvale Mountain Town. That’s the same direction as your trip.”

“Adrian… you weren’t even with your wife?”

“Two people on a Destination Wedding trip, and one ends up in Briarwood Old Town while the other is in

Frostvale Mountain Town?”

“Frostvale Mountain Town?”

Adrian’s expression changed.

How was that possible?

Hadn’t he told her to buy a ticket back?
