He Faked Cancer While I Lost Thirty Babies For Him Chapter 04

Chloe frowned and clutched her belly as blood soaked the lower half of her white dress.

“Chloe, don’t be scared. Driver, take us to the hospital!”

Sebastian’s face changed instantly. He scooped Chloe into his arms and rushed out the door.

They arrived at the hospital in a frenzy, and Chloe was pushed into a private surgical suite.

Sebastian suddenly turned around, shoved me against the hallway wall, and wrapped his large hand tightly around my throat.

His fingers tightened, murder in his eyes.

“You drugged her!”

By then, Chloe’s crying had already gotten to me, and tears blurred my eyes.

“Sebastian, I’ve lost a child before too. How could I ever be that cruel?”

“I never told you this, but you and I once had a…”

A sharp slap landed across my face. Sebastian grabbed me and dragged me hard toward the end of the hallway.

“Shut your mouth!”

“Lena, why do you always have to go against Chloe?”

“Why do you always have to hurt her? Why can’t you ever learn your place?”

“When you sent her to Snowridge, Alaska behind my back, do I have to pull your father’s oxygen tube before you finally learn your lesson?”

Sebastian dragged me to the door of a hospital room at the end of the hall, and my eyes widened.

A year ago, the System told me that my father, like me, had been gravely injured in a car accident and fallen into a coma, but he had not died.

Because of a System malfunction, my father had been transferred into this world.

At the time, Sebastian was still pretending to be broke, and I was afraid of adding to his pressure, so I did not dare tell him.

But somehow, he had found my father!

“Pull the oxygen tube.”

Sebastian ordered his men to hold me down and spoke coldly.

I shook my head hard. “No. No, you can’t!”

“My dad will die. He really will die, Sebastian. I’m begging you, please don’t. Please don’t do this!”

The System’s voice suddenly rang out in my mind. “Warning! Host will be able to leave this world in thirty minutes.”

“Your parents’ lives are bound together. Do not let the male lead pull the oxygen tube!”

All the blood in my body seemed to turn cold.

Sebastian ignored me and said coldly, “Drag him to the electroshock room.”

My father was dragged roughly into the electroshock room.

Sebastian pinned me outside the glass viewing window.

One moment, he raised the thermostat in the room. The next, he lowered it.

Finally, he sharply increased the electric current.

My father’s screams echoed through the electroshock room, stabbing my heart until it felt riddled with holes.

At the same time, my mother’s screams came through the System in my mind.

“Lena! Lena! Ah!”

“Sebastian, I’m begging you. I’ll do anything you want. Let my father go.”

“You can sleep with me if you want. Just let my father go. Please!”

“Keep increasing the current.”

Suddenly, my father’s eyes flew open, and he reached forward with all his strength.

After coughing up a mouthful of blood, his hand dropped heavily.

At the same time, my mother’s voice sounded in my mind.

Her voice was weak and powerless.

“Lena, Mom loves you.”

“Beep, beep, beep. Warning: Host’s parents are both deceased.”

“No!”

I screamed. The door to the shock-therapy room opened, and all the strength went out of my body as I collapsed to my knees.

My father lay quietly on the bed.

Cold wind swept in through the window at the end of the hallway.

In the next second, I turned, grabbed a scalpel from the medical cart, and rushed at Sebastian.

“Sebastian, I’m going to kill you!”

Twenty minutes earlier, outside the operating room where Chloe was undergoing surgery, Sebastian had given orders to his men.

“Lena has been with me for thirteen years, so I can understand why she’d resent Chloe after seeing her pregnant with my child.”

“Just pretend to adjust the thermostat and the current, then record a video to placate Chloe and scare Mrs. Langford a little.”

“Yes, sir.”

With a sickening sound, the scalpel did not sink into Sebastian’s abdomen.

Instead, I turned it around and drove it into my own chest.

I looked at Sebastian and spoke slowly.

“Perhaps I once had what I wanted most in this life, but it slipped through my fingers like sand. In the end, it is all gone.”

In the next second, I closed my eyes and fell into a pool of blood.

“Lena!”
