“How did your blind date go?” he asked casually.

contract.”

My phone buzzed with an incoming call from Nathan.

“I’ll pass. It looks like you need to handle her first.”

“Besides, I already made plans with a friend. Excuse me, Mr. Hayes.”

I answered the phone. “Hello? Have you arrived outside our office building?”

“I’m walking out now.”

Nathan was standing beside his car.

Seeing me, he slipped his phone into his coat pocket.

“Have you been waiting long?” I jogged over to him.

“I just arrived as well.”

His gaze shifted slightly behind me.

I turned around to look.

Ethan and Serena had followed me outside.

Nathan asked smoothly, “Is that the other roleplayer?”

He was referring to Ethan.

I smiled. “Yes.”

“Visually speaking, he might be slightly handsomer than me.”

I held a different opinion. “You’re being too modest, Professor Whitmore.”

Nathan said, “Naturally, I possess my own distinct advantages.’

I tilted my head, looking at him.

Nathan delivered his sharp remark in a slow, deliberate tone.

“I am an only child.”

“Hmm?” I genuinely didn’t follow.

“I don’t have various random sisters.”
