By the time Lucien arrived at the hospital, Raven was already in labor.

The moment she saw him, joy flashed across her pain-filled face.

“Husband…”

“You came.”

“I knew you wouldn’t leave me alone in the hospital.”

“The baby’s almost here.”

“You’re finally going to be a father.”

But there wasn’t a trace of happiness in Lucien’s eyes.

He walked straight to the hospital bed-

And suddenly choked Raven violently.

“What did you say to Sylvia the night before our wedding?”

Raven immediately began choking.

Her face slowly turned purple.

She clawed desperately at Lucien’s hand.

But her movements grew weaker and weaker.

Only when she was on the verge of passing out did Lucien finally let go.

Raven gasped desperately for air while coughing violently.

Lucien showed no concern whatsoever.

His voice remained ice-cold.

“I’ll ask you one more time.”

“What exactly did you say to Sylvia?”

Raven had barely recovered when another contraction hit.

The fear in her eyes slowly twisted into hatred.

She laughed weakly.

Lucien’s whole body began trembling.

“How did you know about that?”

Raven smiled faintly.

“When I was your secretary…”

“I overheard your conversation with the doctor outside the office.”

Lucien completely lost control.

He grabbed her throat again violently.

Raven was just about to struggle—

When blood suddenly poured from beneath her.

Her water had broken.

The baby was coming.

Lucien stared at the blood for several seconds.

Then suddenly laughed.

He released Raven slowly and muttered to himself-

“It’s all your fault.”

“Sylvia won’t come back to me because of you.”

“I’m going to make you pay.”

Raven stared at his crazed expression in horror.

Her whole body shook violently.

Using all the strength she had left, she slammed her hand onto the emergency call

button.

Doctors and nurses rushed over almost immediately.

But Lucien locked the hospital room door from the inside.

Raven screamed in despair.

No one knew how much time passed before she finally lost consciousness completely.

Only then did Lucien open the door.

The doctors rushed inside immediately.

After checking the baby, one of them slowly shook his head.

“The baby was deprived of oxygen for too long.”

“I’m afraid…”

Lucien let out a low laugh.

“If the baby’s gone…”

“Sylvia will come back.”

Then he staggered out of the hospital room.

Two months later-

Ferraro Group went bankrupt.

After losing her baby, Raven completely lost her mind.

She wandered around asking strangers the same question over and over.

“Have you seen my baby?”

As for Lucien-

Every day he stood outside S Group’s headquarters like a shell of a manlike a ghost,

waiting for me to come out and see him.

Nico gently patted my shoulder.

“I’ll have security remove him.”

I shook my head lightly and glanced downstairs at Lucien.

“If he likes standing there…”

“Then let him stand.”

“I’m never seeing him again.”

Nico wrapped an arm around my shoulders softly.

“Sylvia.”

“There’s something I want to tell you.”

I looked at him curiously.

“What is it?”

He pulled out a stock transfer agreement.

“Sylvia.”

“I’m transferring fifty percent of the company shares to you.”

I froze.

“What?”

Nico smiled.

“This company was always half yours.”

“S.”

“Sylvia.”

I covered my mouth in shock.

So the “S” in S Group…

…had always stood for me?

Before I could even process it, Nico suddenly pulled out a ring.

“Sylvia…”

“Will you marry me?”

I nodded uncontrollably.

Nico laughed happily and spun me around in his arms.

One month later-

A security guard walked up to the disheveled man standing outside the building.

“Hey.”

“I’m talking to you.”

Lucien slowly turned his cloudy eyes toward him.

The guard shoved an invitation into his hands impatiently.

“The whole company’s off tomorrow for the chairman’s wedding.”

“The chairman asked me to give this to you.’

Lucien opened the invitation.

Inside was a wedding photo of me and Nico.

An emotional lump formed in his throat as he swallowed hard.

He slowly lifted his head to look up at the AY Building.

Then staggered away silently.

On the wedding day, Lucien never appeared.

But I still received something.

It was the wedding ring from my marriage with Lucien.

I only glanced at it once-

Then tossed it straight into the lake behind the venue.

After that, I extended my hand toward Nico, who was kneeling before me.

And smiled softly.

“I do.”
