Alpha Family Put Their Princess on Trial Chapter 08

Alpha Family Put Their Princess on Trial Chapter 08

There was no one to lean on. No one to save me. And then, something even worse happened. My foster father found me.

He demanded money. He wanted to keep torturing me. I refused — firmly, desperately.

So he threatened me.

“If you don’t do what I say,” he said, “how about I go to your new parents at the packhouse and tell them everything? Let’s see if they still want their dirty little daughter.”

I resigned myself to it.

Because I already knew the truth. They wouldn’t want me if they knew how dirty I really was.

They didn’t want me when I was clean and whole.

They definitely wouldn’t want me with a past as filthy as mine.

I thought that was the worst it could get. But I was wrong. Misfortune doesn’t stop just because you’ve suffered enough.

That night, Tristan got drunk again. He was coughing up blood. Burning with fever.

I took care of him all night.

I thought about asking Natalia for help. She just laughed coldly. “He’s not even my real father,” she said. “If he dies, he dies. I don’t give a damn.”

So I figured it out on my own.

I wiped the blood from his face. I helped him into bed. I followed the instructions on the medicine bottles and found him the right pills. I pressed cold towels to his forehead over and over, trying to bring his fever down.

By dawn, his color had finally improved.

I let myself rest, thinking he was going to be okay.

But when I woke up, I found Tristan sitting at the kitchen table with Natalia, both of them smiling, drinking milk together.

He looked at me with disappointment. Why hadn’t I checked on him last night? Why had I left everything to his poor, exhausted little daughter?

I looked at Natalia’s smug face. What was there left to understand?

I wanted to explain.

But I already knew — Tristan wouldn’t believe me.

So I said nothing.

But then — I accidentally overheard Natalia on the phone in the kitchen. And that phone call sent me straight to hell.

“That little bitch Giselle pissed me off again,” she said. “If I weren’t so smart, she would have stolen all the attention today.”

“I need you to come tomorrow,” she said. “Teach her a lesson for me. Make her pay.”

That was when I finally understood. My foster father showing up — she had arranged all of it.

How could someone be so evil?

I stormed over to confront her. But Natalia wasn’t scared at all.

She pulled a handful of Thornwick Lollies out of the cupboard and smirked at me. “What’s wrong? You came to pick a fight? You want a lolly?”

“Hahaha. Hahahahaha — ”

Snap.

The last string inside me finally broke.

In that moment, all I wanted was to take her down with me.

But I barely got a few hits in before Tristan rushed in and caught me.

He beat me. Then he made me kneel in front of Natalia’s door and beg for her forgiveness.

But the nightmare wasn’t over.

That night, Natalia came to my room. Her face was swollen and red where I had hit her. She looked at me with pure venom in her eyes.

“Giselle, you bitch,” she said. “You actually dared to hit me.”

“To punish you,” she said, “I’m going to fake another suicide. I’m going to make your precious family hate you so much they throw you out for good.”

The screen went dark again.

The entire tribunal hall was filled with Tristan’s stifled rage, Evelyn’s sobs, Callum’s furious shouts.

But why were they crying like this?

Was it because they finally realized their precious daughter — their precious sister — was actually a monster?

Sorry.

I’m really sorry.

But there was nothing I could do. Because she really was rotten to the core.

“Oh my god, Natalia is a demon. Sending hugs to Giselle. How much has she suffered?”

“This is heartbreaking. I want to kill Natalia myself. She’s the real monster.”

“Wait — don’t you think Giselle’s so-called family is even worse than Natalia? Three years. Three whole years. They lived under the same roof. If they had listened to Giselle just once — if they had bothered to check — they wouldn’t be this blind.”

“The Logicore, make that Alpha family pay. Make them sick. Make them poor. Take everything from them.”

Callum grabbed his head in agony. “No,” he said. “This is wrong. Natalia wouldn’t do this. You got it wrong. All of you. The Logicore is just a machine — a stupid, broken machine.”
