After Divorce, I Sold Anti-Ex Cards—He Bought Ten Chapter 11

The Green Tea Detox Combo took off even faster than the 

Ex–Husband one. 

Abby was trending, too. 

Someone had dug up her social media accounts. 

I hadn’t intended to blow this up. I didn’t post the video, and I 

hadn’t even checked the comments. 

But on the third day, a recording suddenly leaked. 

It was Abby’s voice. 

“A woman like Sadie? Selling stuff at a pop–up stand actually suits her. She never deserved Julian anyway.” 

“The more of a scene she makes, the better. Julian hates 

people who lack class more than anything.” 

“Once he gets annoyed enough, she’ll have no chance left.” 

Another voice asked, “And what about you?” 

Abby let out a little laugh. 

“I’m in no rush.” 

“The fact that he and Sadie are divorced doesn’t that just mean 

I won?” 

Once the recording hit the internet, the tide turned 

completely. 

Abby’s comment section became a war zone. 

Chloe jumped in to bash me, claiming I’d bought bots and was spreading lies. 

Half an hour later, her own account was doxed. 

Three years ago, she’d posted a photo. 

In the picture, I was at the sink, doing dishes. 

The caption read: [Some people marry into the family and finally find their place.] 

A comment asked: [Is that your sister–in–law?] 

She replied: (More like the maid.] 

I stared at the screenshot for a long time. 

I actually remembered that day. 

It was a Thanksgiving family dinner at Hollander’s place. A dozen people had finished eating, and not one of them lifted a finger to clean up. 

Victoria had said, “Sadie, the housekeeper is off for the holiday. Help us clean up, would you?” 

I scrubbed dishes from nine in the evening until eleven. 

Julian was in the living room playing cards with relatives. 

When I finished, my hands were raw and red from the hot 

water. 

He handed me a glass of warm water and said, “Thanks for the hard work.” 

Back then, those four words were enough to make me feel like he actually cared. 

Now, I wanted to travel back in time just to slap myself awake. 

Thanks for the hard work? 

Why didn’t he wash them? 

Daisy watched me space out and asked tentatively, “Boss, you okay?” 

I flipped my phone face down. “I’m great.” 

She clearly didn’t believe me. 

I smiled. “I really am.” 

“I used to be terrified of people seeing all this.” 

“But now? It’s actually kind of nice to have it out in the open.” 

Keep grievances buried in your heart, and they’ll just rot. 

Bring them into the light, and you realize it wasn’t you being “dramatic“. 

It was just that some people were genuinely cruel. 

The drama only escalated. 

Victoria finally couldn’t sit still anymore. 

She didn’t come to the pop–up stand. 

She went to my apartment. 

When I got home from work, she was standing in the hallway next to two gift boxes. 

The scene was ridiculously familiar. 

I used to be the one standing at their door, clutching a gift. 

Now the roles were reversed. 

I didn’t open the door. 

“Say what you need to say right there.” 

Victoria looked miserable, but her tone was softer. 

“Sadie, can we just end this online madness?” 

I leaned against the wall. “I never started it.” 

“You and Julian shared a marriage. Why drag it through the mud and make it so ugly?” 

“Victoria, it’s not the relationship that’s ugly.” 

I looked her in the eye. 

“It’s what you did to cause it.” 

Victoria choked on her words. 

After a moment, she said, “I might have been strict, but I did it 

for your own good. The family has high standards. I didn’t 

want you to be a laughingstock.” 

I nodded. “Is that why you threw away the flowers my friend sent me on my birthday, calling them ‘cheap‘?” 

Her expression hardened. 

“Is that why you made me spend Thanksgiving alone in the kitchen folding pies, because there was no seat for me at the 

table?” 

“Is that why, when my dad was hospitalized and I wanted to go home for two days, you told me that I was married into this family now, and that I shouldn’t be ‘running back to my own‘ like a child.” 

“Mrs. Hollander.” 

It was the first time I’d used her last name. 

“You didn’t have high standards.” 

“You just looked down on me.” 

Her grip tightened on her handbag. 

“Sadie, people need to look forward.” 

“True.” 

I.took out my keys. 

“So, please don’t stand in my way.” 

Victoria’s eyes reddened. 

If this were the past, I would’ve panicked. 

I used to fear disappointing my elders, fear being called “difficult“, fear making things awkward for Julian. 

But now, all I wanted was a shower and sleep. 

As she saw me about to open the door, she suddenly blurted 

out, “Julian is sick.” 

I paused. 

She pounced on the opportunity. 

“He hasn’t slept or eaten in days. He’s never been like this.” 

I looked back at her. 

“And?” 

“Go see him.” 

I gave a small laugh. 

“Victoria, he’s a grown man.” 

“If he has a fever, go to the urgent care. If he’s hungry, order 

takeout. If he can’t sleep, see a doctor.” 

“Don’t call his ex–wife.” 

A flash of resentment crossed Victoria’s eyes. 

She suppressed it quickly. 

“Are you really this heartless?” 

I’opened the door. 

“I only found out how heartless I was after we got divorced.” 

Before the door closed, I saw her standing under the hallway light, looking dazed. 

As if it were the first time she realized that the Sadie she used 

to manipulate was never coming back. 

After my shower, I found over a dozen missed calls on my phone. 

All from unknown numbers. 

And one text. 

[Sadie, are you happy now?] 

I didn’t have to guess. It was Chloe. 

I deleted the text, but just as I was about to sleep, there was another knock. 

I rushed to the door, fuming. ” Mrs. Hollander, I told you…” 

It wasn’t Victoria standing outside. 

It was Julian.
