After 28 Lockouts, I Finally Locked Him Out Chapter 12

The door closed behind me.

Julian stood frozen, his first instinct to go after me.

“Julian!” Eleanor grabbed his arm. “She’s just trying to create a scene. You can’t keep indulging her. She’ll destroy this family.”

Julian stopped.

The two sentences I’d said before leaving echoed in his mind.

“Check the living room security footage.”

“Pull the backend access logs for the trust server.”

His gaze drifted to the security camera in the corner of the living room.

The system was linked directly to his phone.

He took out his phone and opened the security app.

Eleanor’s face changed instantly. She practically lunged to press his hand down.

“Why are you looking at that? She’s just trying to drive a wedge between us.”

Leo ran over, pointing to his still-red wrist.

“Dad, I’m your son. Are you really going to believe her over me?”

The more they tried to stop him, the heavier Julian’s suspicion grew.

He shook Eleanor off and rewound the footage.

It was perfectly clear.

He saw Eleanor standing in the bedroom with her arms crossed, insulting Clara with the ugliest words, calling her a paid, live-in executor.

He saw Leo rush in, tear open Maya’s art folder, and scatter the pieces of her paintings across the floor.

He also saw that Clara had only pushed Leo away to protect Maya.
