After 28 Lockouts, I Finally Locked Him Out Chapter 13

The person who had actually lunged forward was Eleanor. She had lost her own balance and fallen into the suitcase. The cut on Clara’s arm had been made by Eleanor’s nails.

Julian held the phone, his fingers tightening.

He raised his head and looked at the two people still putting on a performance in front of him.

“This is what you call her attacking people?”

“It’s not like that, Julian.” Eleanor’s face was pale, her voice frantic. “What you saw isn’t the whole story. She was the one who…”

Julian didn’t let her finish.

He scrolled further back, to the previous night.

In the footage, Leo had no cast on his foot. He was walking back and forth through the living room perfectly normally.

Eleanor sat on the sofa, laughing softly. “Leo, pretending to hurt your ankle was a good move. Once you were ‘hurt,’ I had a reason to move back in. That woman will leave on her own eventually.”

Leo laughed too.

“Once she leaves, you and Dad can get married again.”

Julian stared at the screen, his expression growing colder by the second.

Slowly, he raised his eyes to Leo’s supposedly injured foot.

“Your injury is fake?”

Leo flinched at his father’s stare and hid behind Eleanor.

Eleanor’s voice trembled.

“Julian, I was just… I was just joking with him.”

Julian didn’t look at her again.
