Mafia Princess Faked Amnesia, Learned the Truth, and Never Returned Chapter 06

“Of course not.”

“She’s the only heir of the Bellini family. She took down all those attackers herself.”

“She just has a minor scratch on her head. There’s no way it’s serious enough to cause amnesia.”

The family doctor was confused by his question. “You’re about to get married. She hasn’t come clean with

you yet?”

Luca couldn’t believe it. He refused to believe it. “There’s no way she didn’t lose her memory.”

“Otherwise, how could she not remember the password to the estate gate?”

“How could she just watch me and…” Isabella get married. He didn’t finish that last part.

Isabella walked over and hooked her arm through his. “Luca, have you greeted the guests from the family?”

“Everyone’s waiting for the ceremony to start.”

When the family doctor saw Isabella in her wedding dress, he realized belatedly that he’d said the wrong thing. He quickly made an excuse and slipped away.

Seeing that he was still standing there in a daze, Isabella reached out and gave him a hard shove. Only then did Luca snap out of it. “What are you doing standing there spacing out all of a sudden?”

“Elena never lost her memory at all.” The abrupt statement stunned Isabella for a moment.

When it sank in, her face instantly went deathly pale. “So she knew all along, these past few days, that we

were lying to her.”

Luca hummed in agreement, his expression sour. In the past, whenever the two of them got a little too cozy, I

couldn’t help but get jealous.

Let alone watch them plan a wedding and still stay quiet and calm. So none of them had thought that I was faking amnesia.

“Why would she do this?” Isabella couldn’t hold back her tears and started crying on the spot.

“Did she suspect us all along?”

“That’s why she came up with this plan to test us.”

The sharp crying sounded especially jarring in the loud, festive wedding venue. The guests didn’t know what was going on, but they all tacitly fell silent.

My mom rushed over. “Stop crying. It’s your wedding day. Your makeup will be ruined!”

“Whatever it is, talk about it after the ceremony.”

Luca said nothing. He turned to look at the bridesmaids. Four bridesmaids. Only my familiar face was

missing.

“Where’s Elena?”

My dad stepped forward. He lowered his voice and said into Luca’s ear, “Elena suddenly felt unwell this

morning and said she wanted to rest at home.”

“Let’s finish the wedding first. We can talk about whatever it is behind closed doors as a family.”

“So many guests are watching. Don’t make a scene.”

Luca’s right eyelid twitched. He took out his phone and called me.

When he found out he’d been blocked, he tore off his boutonniere and threw it on the ground. “The wedding is

off. For now.”

A murmur rippled through the guests. Even the priest officiating couldn’t smooth things over.

“What nonsense is this?” My mom’s shrill voice rang out. “Calling it off just like that – where does that leave

Isabella’s dignity?”

Luca looked at her in disbelief. “Elena is your biological daughter.”

“She’s gone missing now, and you two, her parents, don’t feel the slightest bit of worry?”

Isabella’s eyes were red as she spoke with understanding. “Mrs. Bellini, I’m fine. Elena’s safety matters more.”

“The wedding… can be held anytime.”

“She must be throwing a tantrum because she found out yesterday that I bought an estate for Isabella!” My

mom snorted coldly and took out her phone.

“I’ll call her over right now.”

“Even if she’s sulking, she should pick the right time. Does she know what day it is?”

After the message was sent, she finally realized she’d been blocked too.
