The celebration went ahead as planned.

A massive red banner stretched above the entrance.

It read, “Congratulations to Helen for ranking first in the pack and joining the Alpha Central Tribunal.”

Wolves crowded around me while the Tribunal elder personally pinned a medal to my chest,

Then he announced, “Please welcome Helen, the top scorer in the entire pack, to say a few words.”

I had barely taken the microphone when a piercing scream shattered the ceremony.

Elsa stormed onto the stage with her hair disheveled, snatched the microphone, and screamed at the crowd with bloodshot eyes.

“She cheated! Every recording crystal was fake! I should have taken first place. She set me up, and all of you fell for it!”

The crowd erupted in shocked whispers.

“What the hell? Is that Elsa, the answer thief? How did she even get in here?”

“She still has the nerve to cause a scene? Does she have no shame?”

A wolf from our pack stood and held up his communicator, showing one of Elsa’s posts from the previous

year.

“What is the point of studying? Helen can work as hard as she wants, but first place still belongs to me.”

Another old post read, “I sleep through class and still place in the top ten. She is basically my free answer machine.”

Someone even dug up her bragging post. “I can read minds. I know every thought in her head.”

I activated my own recording crystal in front of everyone.

The video showed Elsa crouched under my desk, ripping my certificates apart with both hands while cursing under her breath.

Every frame was crystal clear.

The crowd exploded again.

Dad finally realized how bad this looked. His face turned red, and he slapped Elsa so hard the sound carried through the hall.

“You worthless disgrace! You could not even cheat without getting caught!”

Mom shoved her too, her nails nearly digging into Elsa’s face. “You humiliated the hell out of us! Why are you even still alive?”

The Pack Enforcement captain shot to his feet, his face dark with anger. “Enough!”

he Alpha Central Tribunal elder did not even turn his head. He only lifted one hand.

The captain marched forward and announced the punishment on the spot. “Elsa, a low-rank wolf, committed serious cheating during the Bloodline Exam, defamed another member of the pack, and disrupted an official ceremony. Under Pack Law, she is banned for life from all exams, expelled from the pack, and exiled to the Wastelands, effective immediately.”

“No!”

Elsa screamed in despair, but the enforcement guards dragged her off like a dead dog.

That night, Dad rubbed his hands together and forced a stiff smile.

He claimed they had been confused and let Elsa manipulate them.

Mom chimed in again and again in a voice sweeter than I had ever heard, saying family was family and that we still had a long future together.

I watched them in silence and found the whole thing pathetic.

Elsa had been exiled. My parents had run out of options, so they finally remembered they had another daughter.

“Don’t bother,” I replied calmly.

The smile on Dad’s face stiffened, then twisted into something ugly and vicious.

He spun around, grabbed a sharp knife, and pressed the blade against the golden appointment letter on the table.

His face twisted as he threatened me. “Helen, you’re taking us with you. If you refuse, I’ll destroy this letter right now. Then none of us gets out. We can all die together!”

Mom blocked the door with her teeth clenched. “Either you take us with you, or you leave every crystal behind. Otherwise, you’re not walking out of this house.”

I looked at their crazed faces and subtly curled one finger. The recording crystal hidden in my palm began to glow.

“Are you sure you want to destroy an appointment letter from the Alpha Central Tribunal?” I asked calmly.

“Shut up! If you won’t take us, I’ll cut it to pieces right now!” Dad roared as he raised the knife.

“Good.”

I stared at them without expression.
