I Stopped My Kind Son From Being Framed Chapter 08

I Stopped My Kind Son From Being Framed Chapter 08

The boys outside went pale with fear.

The one wearing the designer shirt rushed into the room.

“Ma’am! We didn’t know the truth! We were completely brainwashed by Chloe, too!”

“Yeah, we were just trying to stand up for the victim…”

I looked at them, finding the whole thing incredibly pathetic.

“Stand up for the victim? You guys were just high on the thrill of playing judge from your moral high ground.”

“When the avalanche hits, not a single snowflake is innocent. If you choose to be part of the crowd, you better be ready to take the blame for crushing someone to death.”

I turned back to Vice Chancellor Davis.

“Vice Chancellor Davis, if the university refuses to handle this, I have no problem hiring a lawyer to serve every single one of them with a lawsuit.”

Vice Chancellor Davis wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

“Rest assured, Mrs. Miller! The university will handle this with the utmost severity. Dean Vance is suspended effective immediately pending investigation. Every student involved in spreading these rumors will receive an

immediate suspension!”

I nodded and took Ethan’s hand.

“Let’s go, son.”

The sun was shining perfectly as we stepped out of the administration building.

Ethan took a deep breath and turned to look at me.

“Thanks, Mom.”

I patted his head gently.

“Silly boy. Remember this: if you ever face something like this again, don’t waste time trying to prove your

innocence. Hit back immediately.”

The next morning.

The local authorities Department’s official account posted a brief, no-nonsense update.

The statement was short, but it instantly set the internet on fire.

Shortly after, Hudson University’s official social media account shared the authorities update.

They attached the school’s final disciplinary decisions.

Chloe Jenkins and Logan Harrington were officially expelled.

Dean Vance’s employment contract was terminated, and his case was handed over to law enforcement.

The eight students involved in the online defamation campaign were placed on major academic suspension.

The public opinion flipped overnight.

Chloe’s social media accounts were unearthed within hours.

Her comment section was completely overrun.

“Looks like an absolute angel, acts like a literal sociopath!”

“Using her financial aid background as an excuse to destroy someone. She’s a disgrace to real students in

need!”

“She almost ruined a National Merit Scholar. Throw the book at her!”

I scrolled through the comments, feeling entirely numb.

In my past life, after Ethan jumped, Chloe built her entire life by milking that exact kind of public sympathy.

This time, I was going to strip away every single chance she had of ever making a comeback.

Later that afternoon, someone knocked on our hotel room door.

I opened it to find a middle-aged couple dressed in worn-out clothes.

It was Chloe’s parents.

The moment the woman saw me, she dropped straight to her knees.

“Please! Please drop the charges against our Chloe!”

She was crying hysterically, reaching out to grab my leg.

I took a step back, completely avoiding her touch.

“You’re talking to the wrong person. The authorities department arrested her, not me.”

The man’s eyes were bloodshot as he nervously rubbed his hands together.

“Ma’am, we come from nothing. We spent every dime we had to send her to college. She just made a stupid

mistake!”

“She’s just a kid! If she goes to prison, her entire life is over!”

“Your family is rich, and Ethan didn’t even get hurt. Just have some mercy and sign the waiver!”

I stared at the couple.

I finally understood where Chloe got her twisted “I’m the victim so I’m always right” logic.

“She’s just a kid?” I let out a cold laugh.

“She’s eighteen, an adult under the law. When she tore her shirt to frame my son, did she stop to think that

she was about to ruin his entire life?”

“Didn’t get hurt? If I hadn’t installed those security cameras ahead of time, my son would be dead by now

because of people like you!”

Seeing that I wouldn’t budge, the woman’s face twisted instantly.

She scrambled up from the floor and pointed her finger right at my face, screaming.

“You heartless bitch! You’re just trying to shake us down for money, aren’t you? We don’t have a dime! Take

our lives if you want!”

“I don’t believe rich people get to control everything! I’m going to expose you online! You’re trying to kill poor

people!”

She threw herself onto the hallway floor, screaming and rolling around like a lunatic.

“Help! The rich are abusing the working class!”
