The Rebirth Of A PTSD And Betrayed Luna Chapter 08

[Hannah’s POV]

Darkmoon Pack’s Alpha had arranged everything for my arrival in advance. Once I’d settled into my small new apartment, I reported to the warrior division headquarters.

Familiar faces filled the training yard—all comrades who’d fought alongside me to drive rogue wolves back from the shared border lines.

They pulled me into a group hug, speaking in unison: “Welcome home.”

But the very first task I set for myself here wasn’t taking on new patrol assignments. I needed to gather ironclad proof to clear my name once and for all.

A Delta warrior handed me a USB drive. It held raw footage he’d captured from the Darkmoon side of the border, recording every patrol and battle I’d led.

Donald had erased all these shots from Ironclaw’s official archives, yet my allies had kept unfiltered copies all along. They told me they’d stand beside me and testify publicly whenever I needed them.

I thanked him quietly and tucked the drive away safely.

One week later, Darkmoon Pack’s official social account released a formal statement alongside the full unedited border combat footage.

The camera captured me standing atop a crumbling border watchtower. Behind me, a wildfire blazed through the forest; rogue

wolf howls and artillery blasts shook the lens nonstop.

Yet I stood steady and unflinching, delivering live battlefield reports to every pack guardian stationed along the line as shells exploded mere yards behind me.

Additional clips followed, documenting me compiling combat data, drafting detailed border threat analysis reports, and risking my life coordinating joint missions with warriors from every allied pack to repel rogue incursions.

Every wolf who’d fought beside me shared the post across their own pages.

At the same time, I compiled every scrap of evidence and sent the full file bundle to Ironclaw’s council of elders.

Two days later, Wanda was suspended pending formal investigation. Social media forums erupted with outrage.

“Did Luna Wanda really steal all of Hannah’s combat achievements?”

“Darkmoon’s official channel released hours of unaltered footage—this can’t possibly be fabricated!”

“What about that press conference? Her own parents claimed she was mentally unstable?”

“The Lupin family’s betrayal is absolutely heartbreaking.”

I closed the comment tab and tapped a like on my original video post.

My phone continued ringing nonstop, but I ignored every incoming call without exception.

A few more days passed, and the official ruling was released. Wanda was found guilty of fraudulently claiming military honors earned by another warrior. The Alpha King revoked her medal permanently, barring her from any border defense position for the rest of her life.

Her scandal dragged Ironclaw Pack’s reputation through the mud. Donald trended on every social platform, widely condemned for covering up the truth to protect his mate.

Warriors across every pack platform reposted my footage endlessly, calling me the warrior who’d held the line when no one else could. My follower count skyrocketed by several million overnight.

I stuck to a steady routine: grueling daily training paired with weekly trauma therapy sessions. The terrifying midnight panic attacks grew less frequent, and slowly, piece by piece, my world began to heal.

I crossed paths with Donald two months later. Wanda’s scandal had tarnished both his standing and the pack’s reputation irreparably. The Alpha who’d once carried himself like unshakable stone now looked hollowed out by regret.

The second his eyes landed on me, all the exhaustion melted from his features. “Hannah, I’ve come to bring you home. Please—give me one more chance. Let us start over together.”

I stared at the Alpha I’d loved for years, my heart was quiet—a deep, unmoving lake. I could barely even recall why I’d fallen for him in the first place.

“Donald, the moment you formed your mating bond with Wanda, any future between us was destroyed beyond repair.”

“It was an accident with her!” He clamped his hands down on my

shoulders, bloodshot eyes wild with desperation. “I’ve only ever loved you. The mating ceremony only happened because of the unexpected pup—I truly, deeply love you.”

He could declare his undying love for me while siring an heir with another she-wolf. That was the love he claimed to hold for me.

I locked eyes with him, my voice cold and flat. “Let go of me. Don’t force me to grow to hate you entirely.”
