The Alpha Written in Her Diary Chapter 03

The Alpha Written in Her Diary Chapter 03

The entire school administration was drenched in cold sweat.

Even the Alpha of the Nighthowl Pack could barely remain standing, his body trembling uncontrollably.

In front of everyone, he slapped Emily until her face swelled beyond recognition. Then he publicly promised to send her to the North, never allowing her to return to the Nighthowl Pack in Rosewick.

Leaning back against the sofa, Edmund spoke in a calm, almost lazy voice.

“If something like this ever happens again, then this school has no reason to exist.”

“A school isn’t a lawless playground. Wouldn’t you agree, Mr. Martin?”

Principal Martin wiped the sweat from his forehead, bowing over and over as he apologized and repeatedly promised that nothing like this would ever happen again.

By the time we walked out of the administration building, the sun was setting.

Edmund opened the car door for me.

The moment I slid into the back seat, I felt a burning gaze fixed on me.

Standing behind the crowd, Noah looked straight at me.

Our gazes met.

There was unmistakable curiosity in his eyes.

I gave him a faint smile and let Edmund close the door between us.

“So you’re just letting the people who drove your sister to her death off that easily?”

Edmund reached over and pinched my cheek, “That’s not like you.”

“Emily Stewart isn’t the one pulling the strings. She doesn’t have the brains for it. A lesson is enough for her.”

“As for everyone else…” A small smile curled at my lips, “I’ll do it MY way.”

“You got here faster than I expected.”

I brushed his hand away as he kept pinching my cheek harder.

Edmund studied me for a few seconds before suddenly smiling.

“You’re becoming more and more like a real princess.”

I couldn’t tell whether he meant it as praise or a tease.

In a way, my mother, Rosanna Snyder, a Gamma from a small pack, was truly remarkable.

She married into the Royal Pack and became the Luna Queen of the current Alpha King.

In the process, I went from a beggar fighting stray dogs for scraps in the slums to an Alpha princess.

Although King John has never cared much about me, his stepdaughter, he does care about the reputation of the Royal Pack.

The moment the video of me being bullied spread across the internet, it became an insult to both him and the Royal Pack.

There was no way he could ignore it.

“You’ve lost weight, Hayley.” Edmund cupped my face.

His brows knitted together.

“If anything like this ever happens again, tell me directly. Don’t use such an extreme method and put yourself through this.”

“But if it isn’t serious enough, King John would never allow you to come.”

I tugged lightly on the corner of his jacket, acting spoiled.

Edmund let out a helpless laugh and rubbed the top of my head, “Fine.”

“I’ll forgive you this time.”

“But only this once.”

Warmth spread through my heart as I felt Edmund’s familiar gentleness.

There are only two things in this world that have ever truly made me happy.

Being Vicky’s older sister. And being Edmund’s younger sister.

“Hay Hay, I love you.”

“Being your little sister makes me so happy.”

Three-year-old Vicky throws her tiny arms around me after saying those words in her sweet little voice.

It is the first time she ever says “I love you.”

It is also the first time anyone has ever said those words to me.

Now, I have become someone else’s little sister.

The price is that I will never hear Vicky call me “Hay Hay” again.

Tears slip uncontrollably down my cheeks.

The next second, Edmund gently covers my eyes with his hand.

“Don’t cry,” he says softly, “You’ve got your big brother.”

I nod, my thirst for revenge burning hotter with every breath.

One down. One to go.
