The Twins She Kept Secret Chapter 06

I jerked away from him. “Get away from me.”

He sneered. “Playing innocent?” He grabbed my wrist, his grip tightening until I could feel bruises forming. “A little late for that.”

The street was empty.

No patrols. No passing cars.

Just as he was about to drag me deeper into the shadows, a figure shot out of the dark and kicked him so hard that the crack of breaking bone split the air.

Silas rushed to me, his hands moving over my body as he checked for injuries. “Baby, are you

hurt?”

Tears blurred my vision, and I shook my head.

He shot the man a vicious look, then drove his fist into the bastard’s jaw.

Silas snarled into his phone and gave the coordinates. “Get here. Now.”

The man panicked, snatched up a fallen metal pipe, and swung.

“Watch out!” I screamed.

Silas stepped in front of me.

The pipe struck his back. He gave a low, pained grunt, his face twisting in agony.
