My Rival Claimed My Billionaire Husband, My Dog, and My Marriage? Oops, She Got All Three Wrong Chapter 10

“NO. WAY. Am I seeing things, or is that a MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE???”

“You’re not hallucinating. I’M hallucinating. Alexander and Stella are MARRIED?? FIVE YEARS AGO??”

“So the girl he said he’s loved since eighteen… was Stella this whole time??”

Chloe’s composure shattered. She shook her head, voice cracking.

“That’s impossible. He’s not married. There’s no way.”

“Stop using my first name. Seriously. Stop. Every time it comes out of your mouth, it makes my skin crawl.

To you, I’m Mr. Kensington. Back off.”

Chloe stumbled back a step, one hand pressed to her chest.

“But I checked. I looked into it. You’re not married.”

Alexander’s jaw tightened. He muttered under his breath.

“Yeah, well, that’s because my wife wouldn’t let me tell anyone. She acted like being married to me was

something to be ashamed of.”

“But you know what? I didn’t care! I said yes anyway!”

And just like that, the fire was back. He spun on Chloe.

“Who sent you? Seriously, are you obsessed with my wife or something? Is that what this is? Because I can’t think of any other reason you’d be trying this hard to ruin her.”

Chloe’s eyes were rimmed red. Her voice came out small.

“But you gave me hope. And Simon… Simon loved me.”

Alexander whipped around to face me, hand raised like he was being sworn in at a trial.

“I swear on my life, on Buddy’s life, if I ever gave this woman a single reason to think there was something between us, God can strike me down right now.”

Buddy: “??”

The live chat: “!!!”

“LMAO, he just swore on the DOG’S life, and Buddy is sitting there looking so confused.”

“Buddy rn sir, I did not consent to this oath. I have a girlfriend at the dog park PLEASE.”

Tm officially an Alexander stan now. This man is UNHINGED for his wife, and I’m here for it.”

I pinched the bridge of my nose.

“I know. I know.”

That seemed to settle him down. He turned to me, suddenly earnest.

“Okay, the photo, let me explain. I took Buddy to the park that day. She showed up out of nowhere, wouldn’t stop going on about how cute he was, kept asking to play with him.”

“And you know how Buddy is. The second he sees a pretty face, he turns into a total sellout. He was having the time of his life. I kept calling him back, but forget it.”

“I had somewhere to be, and she offered to watch him. I figured, fine, free dog sitter. I even paid her for it afterward. That’s it. I never gave her anything else. And if she actually knew me? She wouldn’t be calling him

Simon.”

Simon was the name Alexander and I used for Buddy in public.

We figured Buddy sounded too basic for the dog park crowd. Simon had more class.

But at home, he was always just Buddy.

And Buddy only ever answered to Buddy.

“Wait, so Alexander literally treated her like a dog walker, and she convinced herself she was his girlfriend??”

“Is Chloe delusional?? He didn’t lead her on AT ALL. She made the whole thing up.”

Chloe finally cracked. The tears were real this time.

“What did I ever do to you? Are you humiliating me just to make her happy?”

Even now, she was still trying to pin this on me.

Alexander laughed, the kind of laugh with no warmth in it.

“You think I’d waste my time plotting revenge on you? If I wanted you gone, it would take one phone call. You

really think you matter that much?”
