My Rival Claimed My Billionaire Husband, My Dog, and My Marriage? Oops, She Got All Three Wrong Chapter 11

My Rival Claimed My Billionaire Husband, My Dog, and My Marriage? Oops, She Got All Three Wrong Chapter 11

Chloe had been handed everything since day one.

She’d never been told ‘no’ in her life, and she sure as hell had never been humiliated like this.

She pressed a hand to her chest, pointed at us, and spat out one last threat.

“This isn’t over. You don’t get to treat me like this and walk away.”

I stepped forward, my voice dead flat.

“Good. Because I’m not done either. You set me up. You orchestrated a public pile-on. My team is documenting every second of this. So stay ready. Expect a call from my lawyers.”

I turned back to the camera.

“And to everyone who just spent the last hour trashing me with zero evidence, you’ll be hearing from my legal

team too.”

“Hiding behind a screen won’t save you from a defamation suit. You don’t get to say whatever you want

without consequences.”

Alexander was staring at me like I’d just won an Oscar. He gave me a thumbs-up, grinning like a proud idiot.

I rolled my eyes, grabbed Buddy’s leash, and walked off the set.

By that evening, Alexander and I dominated the entire trending top ten.

Alexander was sitting next to me, thumbs flying over his phone.

I glanced over, and immediately regretted it.

He was in the comments of the cringe hashtag, absolutely tearing into the press.

“Cringe??? That’s called LOVE, you miserable hacks. You wish someone loved you enough to embarrass

themselves on national TV. You’re not disgusted. You’re JEALOUS, and it’s pathetic.”

His PR team panicked and scrubbed the hashtag within the hour.

He scrolled through the flood of posts about us, all suddenly glowing, and nestled into my side, satisfied.

“Babe, look. Everyone thinks we’re perfect together. The public has spoken.”

I gave him a noncommittal hum, and his face fell instantly.

“You don’t love me anymore, do you? Is it because I went away? Do you think I’m tainted now because she

touched my sleeve?”

“I’ll go shower. Get completely clean. And then you can make me smell like you again.”

“Don’t start.”

But he was already sprinting for the bathroom, the door clicking shut behind him.

What happened after he came back out is none of your business.

The next morning, my manager called. Chloe was canceled.

Someone had leaked receipts proving she’d been the other woman in an affair with a major director, no less.

The director’s wife showed up at Chloe’s agency and made such a scene the whole building ground to a halt.

The agency dropped her on the spot.

I looked over at Alexander, who was across the room whistling and dangling a toy in front of Buddy.

“That was you, wasn’t it?”

He didn’t even try to deny it.

Then he bounded over to me, dropped to his knees again, and looked up with those puppy-dog eyes.

“Babe, the greatest gift a husband can give is loyalty. And I just delivered. So, are we good?”

Alexander had wanted to ruin Chloe for a long time. I’d always talked him out of it.

She was just a competitor. It wasn’t worth it.

If she hadn’t tried to play homewrecker, it never would have come to this.

I probably would have just let her be.

Alexander kept warning me that Chloe was more calculating than she looked.

But I always believed that if someone beat me, it meant I wasn’t good enough. Simple as that.

Not good enough? Work harder.

After Chloe’s career imploded, the apologies started rolling in.

Her fans posted public apologies, admitting they’d been wrong, that they never should have attacked a

stranger online over nothing.

I read every single one And I didn’t feel a thing.

They owed apologies to far more people than me.

Every person who’d been destroyed by a careless comment, every person who couldn’t carry it anymore, they

deserved that apology more than I ever did.

To anyone reading this, be strong. Don’t let someone else’s cruelty decide your worth.

You deserve better. And it’s coming.

The End
