“Rena, Julian was genuinely into you. Mom and Dad personally chose him for you. There couldn’t be any mistake.”

I nodded, and all the way Julian was considerate towards me, which I noticed.

And at the thought of Landon and Isabelle getting engaged today, receiving everyone’s blessings and praises, while I was being slandered as a thief who stole the necklace.

In the end, I finally chose to face my parents and lay out everything about this relationship.

Landon pursued me during our time at university, and we chose to be together before we even

graduated.

I remembered the Platonic love I had with Landon over the past six years. Every time, Landon would say that he really liked me, but at most, he would just stare at my lips and hold my hand.

Besides hugging, he never touched me and was even stingy with giving me a kiss.

I asked him why he didn’t have normal romantic feelings towards me, but he only said, “Our

parents have old-fashioned beliefs, and we are currently only in the dating stage. These things can

only be done when it’s time to seriously consider marriage. This is also my way of showing love to

you.”

I was deeply moved when I heard it, and my desire to be with Landon became even stronger. I even ran away from home and rejected the arranged marriage my parents had prepared for me.

Now that Isabelle returned to the country, I understood everything. It turns out that for all these years, Landon had been remaining pure for Isabelle.

In the late night when Landon was drunk, I also heard him muttering that I couldn’t even compare

to Isabelle, not even a single strand of hair.
