“I lost control… so I slapped her.” 

“After that, she shoved me hard.” 

She covered her stomach, voice trembling. 

“You know I’m pregnant. My body’s been weak lately. I can’t handle being pushed like that.” 

The moment those words left Simone’s mouth, I froze. 

Completely stunned. 

My lips trembled several times before I finally found my voice. 

“Archer, listen to me. It’s not like that.” 

“I… I really didn’t.” 

But Archer erupted with a roar that shook the room. 

“Harper, how can you be so cruel? Six years ago, you 

shamelessly cheated on other men, destroying our mate bond, 

destroying my wolf.” 

“Six years later, I’m about to seal the mate bond with another she–wolf, and you think it’s fine to strike my future Luna?” 

“She is also your Luna. If you do not respect her, you must be 

punished.” 

He strode forward, fury burning in his eyes, and kicked my wheelchair repeatedly. Each strike sent it shuddering backward, until it slammed against the dining table. 

Bowls toppled to the floor, the table flipped, and my 

wheelchair went over. 

My head crashed against the corner of the table, pain 

exploding through my skull as blood instantly welled. 

My body trembled uncontrollably, and my head buzzed. 

But Archer didn’t glance at me once. He only scooped up Simone, holding her tightly as she cried, pressing soft kisses to her lips. 

“I’m taking you to the pack doctor immediately.” 

He turned and carried her toward the exit without a second 

glance in my direction. 

I watched Simone’s triumphant, mocking smile, then Archer’s retreating back, and I couldn’t help but laugh. 

Tears ran down my cheeks as I laughed. 

It reminded me of when I was eighteen, on the bus, when a 

man had molested me. 

Archer, still a minor, had exploded with rage. 

He grabbed a man who was a full head taller and far stronger 

than him, and like a furious beast, landed punch after punch 

squarely on the man’s face. 

“You worthless trash! You dare touch my woman? I’ll kill 

you!” 

The passengers were terrified. 

Only I, crying, clutched his arm desperately, begging him to stop, and he finally relented. 

Back then, I had been his girl, the one he needed to protect at 

all costs. 

Now, the woman in his heart was someone else, and he would 

protect her with the same intensity, even if the one in front of 

him was me. 

My chest ached and trembled, and the restaurant staff slowly 

gathered around. 

When the police arrived, my strength suddenly drained. 

I grabbed the officer’s hand tightly and said, “Tell my mom not to pursue this. Tell her this was all my choice.” 

“Tell her I’m sorry. Tell her I… I can never be with her again.” 

My chest hurt, but strangely, I didn’t feel regret anymore. 

I had spent six years trying to heal my wolf, waiting six years, dreaming only of seeing Archer one last time. 

I saw him. My dream was complete. That was enough.
