After losing everything, Liam didn’t give up like the first time.

He told himself he’d come back once. He could do it again.

But Natalie wasn’t like me.

She hadn’t expected her comfortable life to end so soon.

Now that it was over, she wasn’t going to suffer with him.

When Liam got home, he found her packing.

His heart clenched. “Natalie, what are you doing?”

She didn’t bother pretending anymore.

“Liam, don’t you get it yet?”

“I left you back then because your family went broke. I thought I’d finally made something of

myself, but you’re still a loser.”

He shook his head like he never knew her. “No. You’re lying. You have to be lying.”

“You’re still carrying my baby. Trust me. I had got back up once. I can do it again.”

She laughed. “Liam, I got rid of that baby a long time ago. I’d never have your child.”

“If your family hadn’t been rich and you hadn’t been so easy to fool, I never would have been with you. And now you think a baby can trap me? Don’t be naive.”

“So what if you make a comeback? I’m not going through those hard times with you. Honestly, I admire Ava. She gave up her promising life for love. If it were me, I wouldn’t even

look at you.”

Her words hit him like a bucket of ice water.

He’d been in this game for so long. Nothing should move him.

But thinking about me-how I’d given him everything and asked for nothing-it broke

something in him.

At this moment he totally lost it. He grabbed her hair and yanked.

“You bitch. This is all your fault.”

“If it weren’t for you, I’d still be with Ava.”

“Why did you come back? Why did you have to ruin my life?”

He forgot that he’d begged her to come back. He’d laid his heart at her feet.

Again and again, he slammed her head against the floor.

“Liam, you’re crazy.”

He smiled. “Yeah. I’m crazy.”

“You knew I was crazy. So why did you mess with me?”

“Natalie, you deserve this.”

Her beautiful face split open. Blood poured down.

Crying didn’t help. Begging didn’t help.

Nothing could calm him down.

So she said everything she hadn’t said yet.

“Liam, you coward. You pathetic excuse for a man, only dare to hurt women.”

“Leaving you was the best decision I ever made. I’d be miserable if I stayed.”

“You know what? I actually admire Ava. She stayed with you for years. But what for? You

bastard used her and threw her away like trash.”
