You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 16

You Thought You Knew My Love Chapter 16

When I received the call from Adrian’s best friend, I was trying on my wedding dress.

It was the most expensive gown custom-made by a top bridal house. There was only one in the

world.

“Mr. Foster asked the designer to make this three years ago. Back then, he said this wedding dress might never appear before the world. I didn’t expect it would truly wait for its owner.”

The designer sighed.

I felt troubled.

“What a pity. I have short hair.”

“It looks bad.”

After divorcing Adrian, I had cut off my long hair.

It wasn’t some dramatic breakup haircut. Athens simply wasn’t suitable for long hair, and taking

care of it was annoying.

Julian came over and leaned down,

“How could it look bad? You look like the princess who escaped from Roman Holiday.”

The phone rang right then.

I pressed answer.

“Sister-in-law, come see Adrian. He’s… he’s really not okay.”

“He won’t say it, but he regrets it. You know how he is.”

Adrian’s close friend begged me.

“Don’t call her. I’m perfectly fine. I’ve got a beauty in my arms, and I can do whatever I want.”

Adrian’s voice was hoarse.

“Adrian, please, just give in. She’s soft-hearted. If you did something wrong, apologize. Otherwise, you’ll regret it.”

“I don’t regret anything. Tell her… tell her to come pick me up.”

Even through the phone, I could tell Adrian was drunk.

Not bad.

His voice still had strength.

I hung up.

From the moment I answered, Julian had been pacing in circles, his eyes never leaving my face.

“Come here.”

He ran over.

“What are you thinking? I won’t soften.”

The man relaxed.
