Thrown to the Dogs: The Fallen Star’s Bloody Revenge Chapter 02

Thrown to the Dogs: The Fallen Star’s Bloody Revenge Chapter 02 She Asked Me To Raise Her Lover’s Baby
When I woke up again, the excruciating pain in my face and body reminded me of everything that had happened the night before.
My face was wrapped in thick layers of gauze.
I instinctively tried to touch it, but someone grabbed my hand before I could.
Vivienne’s eyes were red and swollen from crying.
“Honey, thank God you’re okay. What would I do if something happened to you? I can’t live without you!”
My son threw his arms around me, his voice trembling with sobs.
“Dad, you scared me to death. You can’t let anything happen to you!”
Vivienne took my hand and tried to comfort me.
“Don’t worry, honey. I had every one of those dogs put down.”
What good did that do?
The dogs weren’t the ones who had truly destroyed me.
They were.
My wife and my own son.
My lips moved.
With what little strength I had, I rasped out one word.
“Get out…”
My son stiffened.
Then he patted my back as if he were actually trying to comfort me.
“Dad, don’t worry. Even if your face can never be fixed, you’ll always be my father.
“As long as you promise to leave Mr. Prescott alone from now on, I’ll always be your son. I’ll take care of you for the rest of your life.”
For the next two days, Vivienne and my son stayed by my side.
They personally took care of almost everything I needed.
Meanwhile, news that Nolan Prescott had taken my place and claimed the international Best Actor title played on repeat across every screen around me.
Every headline felt like another knife in my chest.
Then Vivienne walked into my room with a divorce agreement in her hand.
“Honey, I know how much you’re hurting right now. That’s why I want to give you a child to make it up to you.”
I stared at her.
She continued as though what she was saying made perfect sense.
“You’ve always loved children, haven’t you? But now… you can’t have children anymore.
“Luckily, I was already pregnant with Nolan’s baby before this happened.”
My fingers slowly curled against the sheets.
Vivienne kept talking.
“Let’s get divorced for appearances. Once the baby is born, we’ll remarry, okay?
“The baby can take your last name. You can even choose his name.
“I know he won’t be yours by blood, but I promise you’ll get to raise him as your own.”
She must have prepared an entire speech to convince me.
Maybe she expected me to explode.
Maybe she thought I would scream, argue, or refuse to sign.
I did none of those things.
I simply nodded.
Then I picked up the pen beside me and signed my name.
Vivienne frowned.
For the first time, my reaction seemed to unsettle her.
A moment later, she softened her voice.
“Julian, don’t overthink things right now. Just focus on getting better.
“Once the baby is born, we’ll remarry. Then the four of us can be a family again.”
A bitter smile tugged at my lips.
No.
I would never marry her again.
There was no future left for us.
Vivienne, this time, I’m done.
I’m done with you.
And I’m done with our son too.
After Vivienne left, I forced myself out of bed.
Leaning against the wall for support, I limped toward the bathroom.
I wanted to see my injuries in the mirror.
I wanted to know what they had done to me.
But just as I reached the door, I heard two familiar voices speaking quietly outside.
“Dad’s already like this, and you’re still going to release those lies you made up about him?”
It was my son’s voice.
“That he was a diva on set, that he was physically abusive, and that he slept his way to the top with investors?
“Do you have any conscience at all?”
The words hit me like a bolt of lightning.
My entire body went weak.
I nearly collapsed.
A nightmare on set?
Domestic abuse?
Sleeping with investors?
None of it was true.
Not a single word.
I had worked my way up from nothing.
I knew exactly what it was like to struggle at the bottom, so I had always treated the crew with respect.
And Vivienne…
I had loved that woman with everything I had.
I had never laid a hand on her.
I had never abused her.
Hell, I had barely even raised my voice at her throughout our entire marriage.
And as for sleeping my way into lead roles?
That was even more ridiculous.
Every role I had ever landed…
Every opportunity I had ever gotten…
I had earned through my own talent and hard work.
And Vivienne knew that better than anyone.
