They Voted Me Out, So I Rose as a Lycan Warrior Chapter 05

When the train arrives in the Lycan Realm, the sky is only beginning to brighten.

I drag my suitcase off the platform, greeted by the damp morning breeze. Everything feels unfamiliar, yet strangely peaceful.

My roommates arrive before me.

A girl with short blonde hair immediately drops the curtain around her bed when she sees me walk

in.
“You must be Nora. I’m Roselyn Wellington, from Newmoon Pack. I’m a Gamma. Come in. I saved you the bed by the window.”

Another girl peeks out from behind her curtain.

“Have you eaten? We just ordered pizza.”

I take a bite. The hot cheese burns the tip of my tongue.

Yet in that moment, I suddenly feel like the Lycan Realm is a pretty good place after all.

After finishing my enrollment, I head to the sycamore–lined avenue by Lycan Lake alone.

Years ago, when Mom was invited by the Lycan Crown to attend the Alpha Ball, she brought me

here.

She runs a hand over my hair and says, “Nora, someday, go wherever you truly want to be. Don’t let yourself get trapped just because you can’t bear to leave someone behind.”

I really wanted to come to the Lycan Realm back then.

But Sebastian said siblings shouldn’t live too far apart.

Nathan said Ravenhill was a great choice and that he would be there with me.

Clara said, “Team Ravenhill. All four of us. No exceptions.”

So time and time again, I crossed the Lycan Realm off my list of choices.

Until the very last minute, when I put it back.

This time, I finally choose myself.

I place the empty jewelry box at the very bottom of my suitcase.

Mom’s necklace isn’t inside, but someday, I’ll take it back with my own hands.

Meanwhile, Sebastian and the others don’t return to Darkstone Pack until three days later.

That night, I’m organizing my class schedule in the dorm when my spare phone suddenly vibrates.

An unknown number is calling. I don’t answer.

A moment later, a message pops up.

[Nora, where are you?]

It’s Sebastian.

I turn the phone face down on the desk.

Roselyn notices my expression and asks softly, “Everything okay?”

I nod, “Yeah. I’m fine.”

But the messages keep coming.

[Why did you leave the group chat?]

[Why can’t I reach you?]

[Did you go home?]

(Nora, stop messing around.]

I stare at the last message and suddenly laugh.

They finally notice.

But they’re too late.

Back at the pack house, Sebastian stands outside my bedroom door, still holding the gifts he brought back from the Alps.

Half the room is already empty.

The clothes I usually wear are gone from the closet. The framed photo on my desk has been turned

face down, and the admission documents in my drawer have disappeared.

Clara’s voice trembles slightly, “She didn’t really leave the pack… did she?”

Nathan immediately calls my phone, but no one answers.

Sebastian finds my teacher’s contact information and calls.

There’s even a slight tremor in his voice.

A few minutes later, the call ends.

The entire room falls into a terrifying silence.

Nathan asks quietly, “What did her teacher say?”

Sebastian grips his phone so tightly that his knuckles turn white.

“She enrolled at Lycancrest Academy.”

Clara freezes, “That’s impossible. She was supposed to go to Ravenhill.”

Her voice grows quieter.

‘And why would she go to Lycan territory? Only elite warriors even get into Lycancrest.”

Sebastian suddenly remembers the day applications were due.

I asked them, “Are you going to Ravenhill or Crownvale?”

Back then, I simply smiled and said nothing.

Only now does he finally understand.

From that moment on, I had already decided I didn’t want them anymore.
