She’d asked how we knew each other, and he’d casually said he was my boyfriend.

I was drooling over the money, but I had to stay in character.

I played hard to get and refunded it.

I refused, explaining I’d already been paid for my student ambassador work.

Parker kept smiling, but his actions were firm-he put it on me himself.

I reached to take it off, but he caught my wrist.

I held my breath until my face turned red.
