They Used My Face To Catfish Rich Men, So I Took Them For Myself Chapter 06

Ashford University’s centennial Homecoming Weekend was coming up, and I’d signed up as a paid student ambassador through the alumni group.

Before I left, Lily asked why I wasn’t going to my part-time job.

Normally, I never missed a shift.

“Homecoming’s today. I took the day off.”

I glanced at my phone—Graham had already replied.

Since that day, he’d started showing up at The Grandview regularly.

Like someone had given the staff a heads-up, I was always assigned to his private room.

He’d always claim he’d ordered too much food and invite me to sit down with him.

My face had gotten noticeably rounder because of it.

But it made me look softer and more adorable, so I wasn’t complaining.

I turned down Lily’s offer to walk out together.

She shrugged it off, but the comments were in full panic mode.

[Our girl, stop her!]

[Rachel’s online boyfriend, Parker Jennings is one of the distinguished alumni invited back to speak. He already knows his online girlfriend is a student here. He hasn’t said anything because he wants it to be a surprise.]

[If the side chick works as a greeter, it’s game over!]

[Doesn’t this girl care about money more than anything? Why would she take the day off?]

[Relax, everyone. There are so many alumni—they might not even cross paths.]

The comments were going crazy, but Lily didn’t see a thing.

As soon as I reached the meeting point, someone called out to me.

“Are you here to cover for Megan?”

I nodded and took the volunteer badge and lanyard.

I’d seen someone in the alumni group post yesterday—they were sick and offering money for a replacement.

Knowing what the comments had hinted about Parker, I’d jumped on it.

Student ambassadors were posted all over campus, not just at the gates.

Parker wasn’t just any honoree; during his time at Ashford, his family’s name was on the business school building.

He’d definitely be escorted to the VIP lounge in the main hall.

I wandered around the building for ages, practically feeding every mosquito in the area.

Just as I was starting to think I’d miscalculated, someone moved in fast behind me.

Someone wrapped their arms around my waist, their breath warm against my neck.

“Fancy meeting you here, sweetheart.”
