They Used My Face To Catfish Rich Men, So I Took Them For Myself Chapter 05

Graham wasted no time breaking up with Jessica.

He demanded she return everything he’d spent on her—or he’d take her to court.

But most of the money was already gone.

Jessica threw a massive tantrum, trying to borrow from Rachel and Lily.

She threatened them: she’d saved Rachel’s online boyfriend’s contact information when Rachel had logged into her computer. If they didn’t help her, she’d drag them all down.

I never found out how they resolved it.

But all the Louis Vuitton and Chanel bags that had been piled in Lily and Rachel’s closets disappeared.

And Jessica was clearly out of the alliance.

Walking into the dorm, I could feel the tension.

Watching Jessica get iced out—this was only the beginning.

I pretended not to notice and went back to my desk.

Lily suddenly pulled me out into the hallway.

She leaned in with gossipy excitement.

“My aunt told me your mom’s hospital bill has been paid.”

She paused, wiggling her eyebrows.

“Did you go on a date with Larry Kline this morning?”

Larry Kline was the old man I’d almost sold myself to. The same one Lily had introduced me to.

Her aunt worked as a nurse at my mom’s hospital. Somehow, Lily had found out about my situation and “kindly” offered me a way out.

I shook my head.

“Someone lent me the money. It’s covered for now.”

Lily didn’t look convinced.

“Who would just lend you that kind of money?”

“Besides, you’ll have to pay it back eventually.”

She started pushing Larry again, hyping him up like he was some kind of catch.

I cut her off.

I remembered that internet trick—if you want someone to shut up, ask them for money.

“Lily, your boyfriend buys you all those fancy bags and gives you an allowance every week. Could you lend me some?”

She clammed up instantly, mumbling that her money was almost gone.

She wasn’t lying either. Almost everything her online boyfriend sent went to her beauty treatments.

Before I could press further, she turned and headed back inside.

I followed and overheard Rachel breathing a sigh of relief.

“Thank God Parker hasn’t asked to meet up.”

She was celebrating too soon.
