“Let me go! I’ll kill this liar with my own hands!” Zane roared, his eyes bloodshot.

“I could have loved Aurora wholeheartedly. She’s perfect and kind. But Selina deceived me long before Your Majesty adopted me!”

“She pretended to be weak and gentle, tricking me into believing she was the only one who truly

cared for me. How could I not fall for it?”

“I was abandoned as a child. All I ever wanted was someone who would stay by my side forever. Is

that so wrong?”

The other promised mates wore identical looks of sorrow and despair. They all shared the same

painful past.

He paused, his gaze sweeping coldly over the seven promised mates, brimming with

disappointment.

“I had planned to announce this after Aurora and Asher’s wedding, but your actions have disgusted me deeply.”

“The WPK does not keep useless people, nor ungrateful wolves.”

“From today onward, you have no further ties to the WPK. Leave this palace at once.”

Panic flashed across the seven men’s faces. They rushed forward to beg for mercy.

“Your Majesty, you cannot cast us out! We were only blinded by Selina’s lies!”

“We know our faults now. Please give us a chance to repay your kindness!”

Their pleas fell on deaf ears.

“I never asked for your repayment when I took you in.’

Father’s tone was cold and firm. “I only required one thing of you-to love my daughter with all your hearts.”

“Yet you failed even this simple task. You obeyed her to her face, but mocked and belittled her behind her back. Your hypocrisy has left me utterly disappointed.”

Ashamed and defeated, the seven men hung their heads low.

“You are right. We are unforgivable.”

Zane’s eyes turned red with shame. Hot-headed yet sincere, he raised his hand and slapped himself hard across the face in front of everyone.

“My birth parents abandoned me, but you took me in and gave me a home.”

“I failed your only request. I truly do not deserve to stay in the WPK any longer.”
