-We cuddled in bed a little longer.

Then I remembered something. “What about Sophie? What happens to her? You and her…”

Julian looked at me, puzzled.

“Sophie Carter? What does she have to do with this?”

“Don’t…. don’t you have a System? Isn’t she the female lead? Aren’t you supposed to win her

over?”

Julian gently shook his head.

“I don’t have a System. And I don’t need to win her over.”

“But I know who you mean. The person with a System, the one who has to win her over.”

Julian lowered his head and nuzzled my neck.

“Graham Ellis. We sat next to each other in high school, roomed together in college, and now we’re business partners.”

“I helped Graham write a love letter to her in high school. They got together right after they started college. They had a fight recently, and Graham lost his phone. Sophie called me and asked me to help find him.”
